Splurge vs Steal: Wrinkle Remedies

How To Work With Wrinkles – Effective Wrinkle Remedies Facial Exercises 4 Healthy Skin

What do you know about wrinkles? Is what you know enough to know how to get rid of wrinkles permanently? If you believe that you’ll believe anything. Not wanting to dash your hopes, but if you have forehead wrinkles or wrinkles under your eyes they cannot be banished forever. Nevertheless let us try and get your hopes back up in another way. With the help of wrinkle treatments and doing specific things you can make your wrinkles appear less evident.

Have you already got eye wrinkles, neck wrinkles or wrinkles around your mouth, if so treat them accordingly. Once you do this it’s important to focus on ways to prevent them that maybe on their way before time (premature wrinkles.)

Is there a date in your diary to have your wrinkles removed by surgery? Have you thought this through? Have you taken into consideration all that’s involved with this option? Why would you want to pay out big money for surgery with no guarantee of success, and which can put your health in danger. No operation comes without risks; you only have to look at the amount of paperwork that requires your signature before going down to theatre to tell you this. You could be signing your own death warrant. I’m not here to frighten you but to make you aware that there’s no need for a knife, when there’s other options to choose from that will do the same trick.

Wrinkles happen to us all whether we like it or not, so not something worth crying over. Tears won’t cure the problem. It’s better to work with wrinkles than to fight a losing battle trying to rid them completely. Some people live in fear of getting fine lines, crinkles and creases. Wrinkles won’t let you down; eventually they’ll etch their way into your face or other body parts sooner or later, so it makes sense to work with them.

Let us look at ways to keep the complexion blemish free for as long as possible

It is vital to know why skin ages and why wrinkles occur. An understanding of the wrinkle treatments will make things a lot easier when you begin treating them. Knowledge on products will guide you so you know right from wrong. Using the wrong wrinkle treatment will not give positive results. Why waste time and money, find out what type of wrinkle you are going to treat and the best solution for it. You could suffer serious consequences if you choose to ignore doing this.

Wrinkles are subtle creases caused by thin, sagging skin. Skin ages when it reaches a point when it becomes tired. Usually around the age of 70, the skin and bones thin and the layer of fat below the skin shrinks. Gravity is another cause for saggy skin. Lines that form on the face such as sleep/frown lines are natural creases and cannot be prevented, but the more grave reasons for wrinkles, so grave they can kill, can. Unprotected exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays is by far a huge problem for skin, and a serious matter if badly affected. Over exposure can cause skin cancer and sun stroke and definitely bring premature wrinkles. Wrinkles show up when the collagen and elastin in the connective tissue of the skin weakens or reduce in number.

Causes of wrinkles

Too much sun (photoageing)

Smoking tobacco products

Constant squinting can cause wrinkles around the eyes. Normally they are called “crow’s feet”.

Drug use

Weight Loss

Lack of Vitamin E

Simple home remedies to treat and help prevent wrinkles

Mix a couple of egg whites and apply to the skin under the eyes.

Apply castor oil to the skin under the eyes or throat.

Open 3 Vitamin E capsules and remove the contents then add to 2 tsps plain yogurt, 1/2 tsp honey and 1/2 tsp lemon juice. Use the solution on your face and leave for 10 minutes

An effective solution for treating wrinkles is to mix a 1/4 cup comfrey infusion, 1/4 cup witch hazel and 10 drops of patchouli essential oil

Massage coconut oil on problem areas each night

Too slow skin aging make up a paste consisting of turmeric and sugarcane juice

Try mulching a green seedless grape on the area you wish to treat. Leave for 15 minutes and rinse with off allowing the skin to dry naturally. For treating fine wrinkles swap grapes for the core of a pineapple. Juice of a green pineapple, even apples work great on fine wrinkles and cracked skin.

By eating a diet rich in fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains the skin will benefit greatly thus helping to hold wrinkles back for a while

Take a tablespoon of flax seed oil 4 times daily. This wrinkle remedy is not without a side effect and that being diarrhoea.

Drink plenty of water this will hydrate and moisturize the skin from within.

You need to help and protect your skin by feeding it and nurturing it; Natural moisturizing creams will help keep your skin soft and supple.

Use a good quality sunscreen lotion at all times

Facial Exercises to reduce wrinkles

Remember what we said girls, you can’t rid wrinkles completely. Facial exercises help with the appearance of wrinkles and keep the skin on your face in a healthy condition.

If you are doing your best to assimilate healthy nutrients into your system, this is good, so now you need to ensure they get to your facial tissue.

Facial exercise encourages circulation, bringing a fresh supply of blood and oxygen to the facial tissue. When you exercise the face, these nutrients will reach the right muscles and keep bad toxins at bay (exhaust fumes, fag smoke etc). By exercising the face the toxins move out of your body, instead of lodging in your pores and fine lines.

The face includes many muscles so you need to work on the right ones. The eye muscles and the cheek muscles are a couple of the 57 muscles in the face and neck, and if you ignore them can cause the skin to sag

The purpose of facial exercises is to improve and strengthen muscle tone and to increase blood circulation.

Keeping the muscles of the mouth tight with your lips stretch them as much as you can.

Open the mouth wide and roll your tongue.

Using a chair sit up straight, look up to the ceiling, stretching your neck. Now turn your head to look over your left shoulder but not your body. Repeat the other side.

Bring your head back to the front and lower chin to right angle position with neck. This is a good facial exercise for double chin.

Bite the teeth together and curl back lips. Stretch corners of your mouth as far apart as you can. Hold till the count of six and relax. Point the lower jaw as far forward as possible and relax. This is exercise for people with a flabby jaw-line.

A fabulous exercise for fat cheeks is to suck in cheeks, then blow them out alternately then smile with one side of your mouth only, pushing the half grin up and out. Same action for the opposite side

A great exercise for furrowed brows is to open eyes wide and raise eyebrows. Hold for a short time. Lower brows bringing eyes back to normal size.

Looking after your skin now and doing “simple” facial exercises will make things less “complicated” for you later down the line.

Im a huge fan of home remedies for allot of different things when it comes to beauty 🙂 i have done things such as Safflower oil on my skin overnight as a great moisturizer and honey mixed with coffee(espresso) grinds as a mask for hydrating, tightening, detoxifying, and preventing wrinkles. just a few examples! • Mukunda M says:

Skin is sickened and aged by harsh toxic ingredients in many cleansers, moisturizers and other products. They can be the cause of premature lines and wrinkles. I had many serious skin conditions and lines/wrinkles that were caused or worsened by product use. I stopped using and now only use a pure bar soap with no coloring, no perfumes, no preservatives of any kind and my skin rapidly healed and rejuvenated. I now only use pure natural oils for moisturizing and have had great success with olive and coconut and grape seed. They feed and nourish skin with many nutrients that counteract aging.

Quite vigorous daily massaging rapidly purges the skin of all toxins and normalizes oversized pores in a matter of days. It is also the most effective anti aging, wrinkle reducing/removing and rejuvenation treatment.
A main cause of skin aging, wrinkles and lines is weakening of facial muscles with age. Massage exercises/conditions face muscles and reverses aging. To avoid skin pulling, first tighten by opening mouth 3/4″and pulling lips firmly back against teeth. It’s best to do quite vigorous forward and back massage(not circular) using tips and front fingers and sometimes palms. In as little as 3 to 5 days skin will look firmer, tighter, smoother, revitalized and rejuvenated.
While maintaining tightness, repeated specialized massage on any beginning wrinkles, lines and crows-feet. etc will not just fade them a little, but WILL greatly minimize them and largely prevent/inhibit others forming. To diminish vertical frown lines between eye brows: Place palms together (as if praying) with index fingers up against the lines. Then move fingers up and down quite fast many times while pressing on lines using hand palms as a guide. They will quickly diminish.
See my many other answers giving detailed specific wrinkle diminishing (some have testimonials from happy users).

I have wrinkles under my eyes due to vigorous eye rubbing. Any remedies? Do cucumbers really work?

Most importantly are those wrinkles permanent?
I’m eighteen and sometimes I couldnt resist the temptation to scratch due to the itch.

    • docmench says:

May I know how old you are? If you are young then those wrinkles can still be erased. But what is the reason for constatly rubbing your eyes? Do they always itch? Or it is simply a mannerism? If it just a mannerism then get rid of it because as you’ve said it it is giving you wrinkles, making you look old. If it because your eyes always itch then you will need the help of a doctor. You maybe having an allergy.

Cucumbers serve more as a moisturizer, but doesn’t really help remove wrinkles. Among the home remedies that you may try are citrus fruit juice application or milk or yogurt. There are also a lot of anti-wrinkle cream for the eye that are available in the market, like Olay, L’oreal. But before you try any of this make sure that the reason for your eye rubbing is not allergy, otherwise these products might do more harm than good.

What are some of your beauty tips and homemade remedies to keep yourself looking young and vibrant?

Petrolium jelly! There was a medical story about an 80 year old woman who had hardly any wrinkles on her face and neck and her skin was plump and soft. Her secret was that she used petrolium jelly every night before she went to bed.
Even if you just use it around your eyes, furrows and mouth at night it will stave off the effects of aging for years.
It’s a great time to start now.
      Also, don’t smoke,
try not to over drink (drinkers age FAST!)

Any remedies for early wrinkle formation? HELP!?
    Hey Guys,

I’m a 17 year old male and I have noticed some early but slight wrinkles forming under my eyes, although it is fairly minor it somewhat concerns me. I used to didn’t get my 7-8 hours of sleep due to study time and school work but now I do and I don’t see a slight difference what so ever. I have used Vitamin E oil and Palmer’s Cocoa Oil and massaging under my eyes using the oils for 6 months and I have still seen no difference. Are there any suggestions for creams you would like to make or natural remedies to help me?

    Any Help Is Greatly Appreciated

    Thank You!

    wrinkle remedies for teen?
I’m 14 and have recently been aware of my skin having wrinkles. Only slight traces though.I’m not in the sun much or make funny faces but I don’t really moisturize. I’m thinkin that’s the reason for the fine lines. Is there anything I can do to make them possibly vanish or atleast fade? Specifically laugh lines. Thanks for the info, peace out.

    • Zom-bee says:

Moisturize your face with lotions containing alpha hydroxy acids. Moisturizers like these help to exfoliate dry skin cells as well as encourage collagen production, which can help reduce wrinkles and laugh lines.
Exfoliate your skin, ridding it of the outer layer of dry cells. Be careful to use gentle exfoliates, such as oatmeal, so you do not damage your skin.
Mash banana and honey together and apply it to your skin. The combination helps to firm your skin, reducing laugh lines. Remove the mixture after 10 minutes.

      Good luck!

Are there any homemade remedies to rid face of wrinkles?
I heard bananas mushed, avocado, and things like that. But is there anything else someone has tried?

    • Mukunda M says:

None of those are going to help(do an Answers Search to see comments from users). This treatment, using only safe natural oils, really is a miracle worker as users on Answers will testify (can send glowing testimonials)..In eye areas to avoid skin pulling or stressing you first have to tighten skin by tightening appropriate face muscles. That is done by partially opening mouth and tensing lower part of face. Crows feet: You massage up and down many times on the lines with front of first three fingers held together. Do it quite fast (for best results do 30 min or more daily – can do in two 15 min sessions)
Vertical frown lines between eye brows: Again first tighten skin then place palms together (as if praying) with index fingers up against the lines. Then move fingers up and down quite fast many times (same duration as for crows feet). Lines/wrinkles in mouth area: You first partially open mouth and pull back mouth against teeth. Those lines from nose to side of mouth can be greatly reduced by massaging up and down directly on lines.
The massaging friction does the work. All will start to fade almost immediately and in 6 to 7 days you will see definite fading and even greater fading over time. Do quite fast for for fastest results.
For under eye and on forehead see some of my other B.A’s. Some include precise instructions on how to massage to tighten and rejuvenate skin and, more importantly, how to exercise face muscles. It’s the aging/weakening of muscles that leads to sagging and then wrinkling and lines

Kalaya Ultra Moisturizing cream. You can get it online at Jeffers

Smear honey on your face and leave it for as long as possible (but 5-10mins a day will do). then rinse off with tepid water mixed with a teaspoon of cider vinegar – this has a neutral pH and will act as a toner.

And if you have some bucks, Lifecell anti wrinkle cream would be a good choice. You can have more information here.

What are some good natural remedies for deep wrinkles?

    • Mukunda M says:

Sadly, many products for wrinkles are scams and others have proven not to do what is claimed (you can verify that with a Google search) At the most they fade them a little (and for a lot of money)
There is a proven treatment for not just fading them but greatly diminishing them and largely preventing others from forming. It’s low cost as it’s using safe, natural oils. Use any oil but the best for acne prone skins is lavender or grape seed – acknowledged treatments for clearing up acne, do not clog, cause break outs or make skin oily. Then simply rub them over and over many times and it rubs them away. You have to tighten the face muscles which in turn tightens the skin in the area being worked. Best to rub them for 10 min several times a day. Some users reported significant results in only five days.Try it – you will be happy that you did! See my many Best Answers for more info. (wrinkles, lines, crows feet, frown lines, scars, etc) Some with glowing reports from users. If cannot find, please email me and I will gladly send you the full details.

    • TM says:

I think you mean Castor Oil. Any Pharmacy should have it in a 3-4 oz bottle. Ask the pharmacist if you don’t see it. The oil is made by pressing oil from the castor bean. Grandparents used to use it as a laxative (blech, nasty) Never considered it as wrinkle remedy. But maybe because, when combined w/ water, it plumps up skin a bit. But then that is the mechanism of any moisturizer, so any oil should work. For moisture, I prefer Avocado oil which is light; Castor is very thick, heavy, sticky. It is a good moisturizer for coarse hair, however. I think a good long term solution is anything that helps the skin make collagen like Vitamin C cream, Hyaluronic Acid, Retin-A or retinol, wear a brimmed hat, avoid smoke and alcohol, plenty water,

    • McGee says:

It’s interesting that when Ponce DeLeon went looking for the fountain of youth, he should have looked no farther than water and a little salt.

Water and salt make up 75% of the tissues, 85% of the brain and 94% of the blood. It’s what we are. Yet, people don’t drink enough water to maintain this critical balance, and doctors are scaring everyone away from salt with their “salt causes high blood pressure” campaign.

The fact is, water and salt are the two most important substances in the body (after oxygen). A deviation of as little as 3% will cause major health problems.

Another campaign being promoted by the medical community is to “drink plenty of fluids”. They used to promote “drink 8 to 10 8-oz glasses of water per day – why did they change this?

“Fluids” include every drink imaginable, including soft drinks, coffee, alcohol, etc. These drinks are preferred options by most people, and so doctors let them believe that they’re benefiting from the water they contain. However, because these drinks contain sugar, caffeine and other additives, the nutrition aspect is altered so that they become diuretics that pull out as much as 50% more water than they contain.

This, of course, is something that doctors aren’t telling you. Why should they? If you become dehydrated and get sick, they’re right there to help you with medications and surgeries that do not conform with the body’s needs, and which will only make things worse.

If you want to get rid of wrinkles (and correct many other health problems in the process), click on the link below and learn how to keep your body hydrated properly.

Apply egg whites to the skin under your eyes. Egg whites contain several vitamins and will help to nourish as well as tighten your skin. This is an excellent method to reduce wrinkles naturally and so in addition to applying it under your eyes, you can apply it to your forehead and other areas of your skin that are prone to wrinkling. Odor-free castor oil can be applied to the skin under the eyes or on that of the throat.

Empty the contents of 3 Vitamin E capsules into a small bowl. Add to this 2 tsps plain yogurt, 1/2 tsp honey and 1/2 tsp lemon juice. Apply this mixture on the face using a cotton ball. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse. This is one of the simplest natural anti wrinkle face creams and is an especially effective anti wrinkle treatment for men.

A mixture of 1/4 cup comfrey infusion, 1/4 cup witch hazel and 10 drops of patchouli essential oil is effective in treating wrinkles. This can be stored in a clean bottle and applied on affected areas with a cotton ball. There are several natural anti wrinkle creams that work well when used on a regular basis but it is important to be patient and expect results only after a week or two of using these creams.

Gently massage coconut oil on portions of skin prone to wrinkles every night a bedtime. Virgin coconut oil mixed with a few drops of Vitamin E oil is one of the best deep wrinkle creams and often produces visible results within a week of using them.

A paste of turmeric made with sugarcane juice is great to get rid of wrinkles and slow skin ageing.

Cut a green Thompson seedless grape in half and gently crush it on your face on the wrinkles. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water and let it dry in natural air.

Rub the core of pineapple on the face and leave it for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off. This works well on fine wrinkles.

Make a deep moisturizing cream out of a few spoons of fresh cream, a slice of avocado, a handful of flaxseeds, and a spoon of honey. Puree all these ingredients in a blender to obtain a smooth cream and apply it to your skin. Allow it to remain on for at least an hour and then wash it off with cold water. The fresh cream in this natural moisturizing cream will help to provide your skin with vitamins and mineral that will keep it healthy and wrinkle free while the slice of avocado is rich in several fats and fat soluble vitamins and this will help to fortify your skin and reduce the severity of existing wrinkles. Flaxseeds contain omega 3fats which are essential for wrinkle prevention and honey helps to moisturize the skin. Include this cream in your regular skin care regimen to achieve quick results.

Applying juice of green pineapples and apples on the face daily for 10-15 minutes is good for fine wrinkles and cracked skin.

Application of pure castor oil regularly prevents wrinkles. It would be best to mix the castor oil along with a small amount of lemon juice before applying it to the affected areas of your skin as lemon juice contains Vitamin C which is very effective in treating wrinkles.

One of the best methods of forehead wrinkles treatment for men is a freshly prepared puree made out of a small piece of raw papaya and a piece of banana. Papaya contains papain which is an enzyme that helps to break down dead skin cells on the surface of the skin and encourages the growth of newer skin. Bananas are rich in several vitamins and help to rejuvenate the skin and prevent further wrinkling. Use this remedy at least once a week to help prevent and treat wrinkles.

    • Jane A says:

As people age, their skin produces less oil and the epidermis (outer skin layer) becomes dry. Collagen and elastin, proteins that help keep skin taut, begin to diminish in the underlying dermis. The skin then begins to sag, causing a wrinkled appearance. There are some medical treatments available to prevent dryness and wrinkles less visible. Try to use Striadsil-Eye cream helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles around the eye.

Discovered when seeking relief for my many skin problems. Gave me a flawless, blemish free, healthy skin and remarkably diminishes all wrinkles, fine lines & halts new ones appearing. Also reverses skin aging. Use a natural or organic oil – coconut oil is excellent and regularly massage with a quite strong, vigorous motion (at night as makes face flushed). It’s the key to it working! Skin clinics might tell you to massage gently – they are wrong as it’s proven to be only beneficial. Stimulates & hastens a new skin to emerge with wrinkles noticably reduced – see noticable results in 1 to 2 weeks, even better overtime. Initially, skin has to adjust & if soreness, or reactions happen – stop & resume when you can. Find the pace that works for you – it’s different for every person. Keep up a massage routine(not as vigorous) after that & will continue improving. Totally and permanently rid my skin of all of my skin problems and I’ve had a rejuvenated, really healthy, blemish free skin for many years. I am often mistaken for being 15 years younger than my actual age.
Try it, you will be happy that you did. If apply to entire face you will not need to use any other product ever again. Skin will naturally moisterize. Only unhealthy skins need all those OTC treatments.

I’ve heard of lotions for people that already have wrinkles but are there any lotions, home remedies, or foods I can eat to prevent them from forming in the first place? I know everyone gets them but is there something to delay the process?

I found the most effective anti aging, wrinkle reducing/removing treatment was specialized quite vigorous massaging with oils. Pure olive, coconut and almond feed and nourish skin many nutrients that counteract aging. They are noncomedogenic so do not clog or enlarge pores, do not cause breakouts and do not make skin oily. Treatment has helped many on Answers.
      SEE TESTIMONIAL below ##

Use both hands together and do vigorous forward and back massage using fingers and palms (where you can). Do forward and back massage – not circular. Gradually build up to 15 to 30 min daily (Can be in two or more sessions).as skin has to adjust. Even the fist day skin will be firmer tighter, and smoother. and wrinkles will reduce. • bg43214 says:

someone said Preparation H..which is only a glorified form of Vaselilne!!!!!!!!!! if you want GREASE go for it, but you could try gently very gently exfoliating the area with baking soda; make a slight past by adding water a few drops at a time, then do your whole face at least 2 times a week; use it on the outer eye area and very gently under the eyes also; this will get rid of any excess skin cells….then rinse rinse rinse with cool water & blot your face dry…apply any moderately-priced eye creme (you can use Vaseline if you want; just use a very very small amount and blend it onto your fingertips; use your ring finger, not index finger (it’s too strong) & gently tap the moisturizer from corner of eye out to cheekbone or wherever you’ve seen wrinkles forming..you can leave this on for about 20 -30 mins. then BLOT don’t rub with a tissue; do this in the morning before work (blot before you leave, of course!!) & at night…just be sure to blot before you go to bed….this is not glamorous, but consistent exfoliating and lubricating with this type of product will help in the long run….

homemade remedies for wrinkles around the eyes?
is there any homemade remedies for wrinkles around the eyes. or any that prevent them?

    • Dee says:

      Hi C

I perform medical aesthetics and Aromatherapy and love helping people with wrinkles. I am unsure how deep are your wrinkles, your age factor and skin damage but I will do my best to answer your question and help you out.

Your First Ingredient: Select a Carrier Oil (below I have listed a few options, there are many more but this is a great start)

Jojoba Oil: a little heavy but very soothing and great in cold weathers
Almond Oil: people with dry skin find this oil very lubricating. great for dry skin
Grape seed Oil: known as a great antioxidant, light and great for mature skin

Go to a good health food store and if possible try and purchase organic carrier oils. A small bottle will do as you only need 4 table spoons for your first jar.

      Second: Pure Vitamin E capsules

Great as a natural preservative and also very nourishing

Third Ingredient: Pure Essential Oil of Sandalwood not bigger than 5ml

Sandalwood: is one of the ancient healing oils used for the skin in biblical times. It helps wrinkles, scars and renewing tired skin.

Fourth Ingredient: Pure Organic beeswax but only a small piece (try and find a cosmetic grade dont go for cheap hard beeswax)

      Organic Anti-wrinkle Cream from Sandalwood

4 Table Spoon of your selected Carrier Oil
1 Table Spoon of grated bees wax

warm carrier oil with bees wax on med heat in a very small stainless steel pan until the bees wax in melted and remove.

      1 capsule of vitamin E
      4-6 Drops of Sandalwood

puncture the vitamin E capsule with needle and squeeze oil into your carrier oil and bees wax. Place 4-6 drops into mixture as well. Mix lightly and poor into a glass jar. The cream will take at least one hour to be fully cured.

For Next Time you make cream! If you find the eye cream not creamy enough add more carrier oil. If you like your cream thicker add a little more bees wax. Once you have done it twice its very fun and easy.

Start looking into herbs, and different oils. You can use this basic recipe for many uses simply by changing the oil combination.

Products, herbs and oils really do work but that being said its not the only thing to keep in mind. There are always many factor in aging skin; not drinking water, not sleeping well, smoking, over exposure to the sun, harsh soaps and stress are just a few examples that affect our skin.

I hope you enjoy the recipe and it inspires you to discover the beauty and benefits of herbs, oils and natural treatments.

      Best of luck

There’s no guarantee unless you want to fill your face with botox every 6 weeks or have surgery every couple of years.
No idea if it works, but I’ve heard that moisturising your face and/or using a pillow that has copper wire interlaced into it can help keep them away.
But as I said, there’s no real guarantee and you don’t even need to start worrying at the age of 17/18 or even 19 xD
You’re far too young to be worrying about wrinkles now and I hate all these magazines trying to promote their “anti-aging” products to teenagers by saying you’ll have a sagging, wrinkly face by the age of 25 if you don’t use our product!
It’s rubbish and it’s funny how the people on the adverts say that the products tighten up their skin and get rid of wrinkles….when they didn’t have any in the first place? *rolls eyes*

Just chill and stop worrying about wrinkles! You are 17!! xD

here are some home remedies i’ve not tried them personally but u can giv it a shot but it’ll take time..
      Cabbage Mask
Grind a couple of cabbage leaves and extract juice. Dissolve one-fourth teaspoon of yeast in it and stir in one teaspoon of honey. Mix well and apply thickly over face and neck. Keep it for 15 minutes. Remove with cotton wool soaked in water. This mask will counteract any tendency towards wrinkles and dryness and give your skin a flower-like bloom.

Grate or blend a cucumber. Apply this over the face, eyes and neck for 15 to 20 minutes. It is a great tonic for the facial skin. Regular use of cucumber prevents pimples, blackheads, wrinkles, and dryness of the face.

Make a paste of almonds with mild cream and fresh rosebud paste. Apply it daily over the face. This softens and bleaches the skin and nourishes it with the choicest skin-food. Regular application of this mixture prevents the early appearance of wrinkles, blackheads, dryness of the skin, pimples. It also keeps the face refreshed.

      Water Based Face Packs
Water based face pack firm up the skin. They help in removing the wrinkles.
      Tomato face pack:
·Two to three tablespoons of tomato juice.
      ·Fifty grams of oatmeal
·One twenty five grams of yogurt
      ·Hundred ml of distilled water.
Mix tomato juice with yogurt. Boil the mixture of oatmeal and water for 20 minutes.
Mix both the mixtures together to make a smooth paste and allow it to cool. Lie down and apply it thickly on face and neck and leave it as such for 30 minutes.
Keep eyes closed and feel relaxed. Then rinse off with cold water. It is an effective remedy for clearing blackheads and pimples and it will leave the skin soft and will take away the greasy film from the skin.
      Honey face pack:
      ·Half tablespoon of honey
      ·Two teaspoon of water
      ·Two teaspoon of multani mitti.
      ·One teaspoon of lemon juice.
Soak multani mitti powder in water for half an hour. Add honey and lemon juice to it and apply the mixture on face. Wait for 15 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Then give a cold-water rinse.
      Orange face pack:
      ·One teaspoon of orange juice.
      ·One teaspoon of multani mitti.
      ·One tablespoon of honey
      ·Two teaspoon of rose water
Soak multani mitti powder in rose water for half an hour. When soaked well, add orange juice and honey and mix them well. A fine paste is obtained. Apply this paste on face, and let it dry. Then wash with lukewarm water. Then give a cold-water rinse.
      Olive face pack:
      ·One teaspoon of olive oil.
      ·One tablespoon of cornflakes powder.
      ·Two tablespoon of water
      ·One tablespoon of almond oil.
Mix the almond oil and olive oil. Mix water and cornflakes powder to make a paste. Add oil mixture to this paste a little by little. Keep beating the paste. When the paste is ready, apply on face and let it dry. Then wash off with lukewarm water and then give a cold-water rinse.
      Strawberry face pack:
      ·Take three strawberries.
      ·One tablespoon of rose water.
Mash strawberries and then add rose water to the pulp. Apply this on face for around half an hour. Then wash off with lukewarm water. Now rinse with cold water.

~ Grind 50 grams (around half a cup) of cabbage and extract the juice. Apply this on your face. After it dries, wash with cool water and wipe dry. This helps tighten your skin and prevents wrinkles.

~ Beat the white of one egg and apply on your face in an upward direction. Once it dries, wash with cold water. It helps tighten your skin and delays wrinkles.

Whisk away those wrinkles and keep your facial skin soft and supple, by using these homemade egg-based face-packs… • For normal skin, mix the yolk of one egg, with two spoonfuls of rosewater and one spoonful of honey and preserve. Use it once a week. It is especially useful in the winter, to keep skin soft and glowing. • For wrinkles, take the white of an egg, beat it, mix in it three teaspoonfuls of oat powder, one spoonful of honey and apply on the face. • For dry skin, use this regularly. Mix the yolk of one egg, two spoonfuls of orange juice, a few drops of sweet almond oil and half a spoon of lemon juice. Mix well, beat and apply. Keep it for half an hour before washing off.

    Home remedies for wrinkle reduction?
Hello All. Im looking for something I can do to help reduce the appearance of my first forehead wrinkle! Good Grief! Im 30 years old and didnt figure Id be dealing with this so soon. Anyhow, its right between my eyes (the wrinkle you get when you scrunch your eyes as if youre surprised or shocked to hear something) and fairly deep set. I not interested in extreme treatments like botox, I want to “grow old gracefully”, without the help of a medical spa at least. BUT…if there is something I can be doing to slow it down, reduce it, prevent it from inviting friends…well that would be great. I would be open to an over the counter wrinkle cream, but only if someone has had successful results with the product. Otherwise, Im not sure I can beleive they work. Thanks for the ideas!

    • Rania N says:

There are creams that won’t make them go away but can reduce their appearance. I highly recommend Creme De La Mer. It’s pricey but very good.

My #1 suggestion to make wrinkles go away is a change in your diet. You need to start from the inside in this case. Eating salmon, nuts, fish, green tea and anything with a lot of anti oxidants and omega fatty acids has been proven to reduce wrinkles, complexion, etc. There are certain foods (starchy, sugars, etc) that will prematurely produce wrinkles rapidly. The best book on this is by Dr Perricone.

“The Perricone Prescription is a seven-step, 28-day program designed to prevent and reverse wrinkles with a special anti-inflammatory diet, moderate exercise, topical creams and nutritional supplements. Dermatologist Nicholas Perricone, M.D., devised the program based on the assumption that sugar and foods with a high glycemic index such as bread, bagels, bananas, pizza, pasta and potatoes lead to the inflammation that is at the root of wrinkles and aging skin. He contends that by eliminating these foods and choosing sufficient amounts of protein and foods that produce an anti-inflammatory response such as avocado, berries, dark green leafy vegetables and salmon, skin will look younger and healthier. He provides two weeks worth of menus for three meals plus two snacks each day and includes several recipes. He also advocates regular exercise and the use of numerous topical creams and supplements to ward off inflammation and rejuvenate skin.”

First – stop using the products that are causing them: soaps, cleansers, moisturizers, exfoliators, make up – all sicken and AGE skin . If you must use them then go to this site “Skin Deep Cosmetic Database” and you will see the most harmful ones and you can search for alternative less`harmful ones.

A truly very effective diminisher/remover of lines is this safe natural one. I’ts helped many on Answers. Here’s a testimonial from a happy 19 year old user “big papy”
(Go to her profile for her other complimentary answers to the same wrinkle cure questions I answered):
“…. I want you to know that i did continue the massage with tightening the skin around my mouth area and the lines are
almost gone – thank you so much, you have changed my life. Also my crows feet are all most gone too! I finally look my age!”

Use extra virgin olive, sweet almond, jojoba or grape seed oils.
CROWS FEET: Can be very quickly greatly minimized by rubbing up and down on them with oils quite vigorously with first three fingers held close together. Even deep lines can be greatly diminished.

FROWN LINES: Put hands together as you would for praying with two index fingers on frown lines. Then while pressing on lines alternately move fingers up and down quite fast
Repeat several times a day and they hey will diminish in a matter of days.

DARK CIRCLES: See this answer and a testimonial from someone who used treatment and reduced dark circles in one day.http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090824123752AAiefFi

This is what I do. Get a hunk of raw beeswax (you can buy it online or in a health food store) and some olive oil. Carve off a small chunk of beeswax with a knife and put it into a glass jar. Microwave it for about three to four minutes until it’s melted. Use pot holders when you remove it and be very, very careful…melted beeswax on your skin would burn you badly. Add about twice the amount of olive oil as melted beeswax. At this point, I put in drops of lavender essential oil to make it smell nice, but it’s not necessary. Once it dries, test the consistency. If it’s too hard and sticky, remelt and add more olive oil. If it’s too thin and greasy, remelt and add a little more beeswax. When you get it to feel like a creamy balm, pour it into little tins or glass jars (you can find lip balm tubes and tins to buy at http://www.mountainroseherbs.com and many other places online). To use it, I either put it in a lip balm tube or I scrape some up with my fingernail, and before I go to bed, I rub it liberally all around my eyes, on the crease between my brows and on my lips…sometimes even over my throat and hands. I’ve been doing this for about 10 years, am 39 years old and have not a single wrinkle or an eye bag. Warning…it does make a bit of a mess, so use old spoons and jars, or use wooden shish kebab skewers to stir with.
