Herbalife Product Review

I have had the chance to try some of Herbalife products. I am not and Herbalife distributor and am not through this Herbalife Product review other than to provide honest information to consumers out their looking for answers about Herbalife Products.

Like most companies, Herbalife had a niche. They were leaders in the world of products aimed at lowering weight and increasing energy. However, the economic situation and change in society have forced them to branch out from their comfort zone and into uncharted territories, thus creating new products. The US was once a great buyer of Herbalife products but has had recent declining sales which the company is hoping to gain back.

Herbalife also has products for increasing digestive health, personal beauty car, immunity boosters and heart health supplements.

But Herbalife began to receive a bad reputation for outdated products and a not so intelligent compensation plan. Have they really done the Research and Development to gain our lost rust that their products are going to deliver above and beyond the competition?

Everyone is concerned with health, and I am one of them. In fact, I do not advocate to my clients the products put forth by Herbalife because I believe in proper Research and Development that demonstrates the effects their products might inflict on the patient. Has the new Herbalife proven that they are no longer concerned only with results they were trying to achieve?

I have dabbled with a few herbalife products, but have never taken any consistently enough to really feel their benefits. I make my own products, and therefore never needed to test this avenue.

And how many people can honestly say they have 12 years experience in working in the Natural Health and Medicine realm?

So you may be interested in what herbalife has to offer and therefore I went to the indexes and pulled a variety of product reviews from fellow Herbalife Product users from various backgrounds and various parts of the world. If it could be anything explained at best, the results were very inconsistent.

People are looking for a quick fix to their problems and Herbalife can provide that for them. It’s a mutually beneficial partnership where Herbalife gets the results they want and people get the weight reduction they desire or the ability to remain awake for long amounts of time, even if there are negative effects that come with that. Most people are short term minded and do not think about the future and what problems could arise by this short term fix they have short-cutted to.

    • Alyssa says:

I personally think that natural weight loss is best (diet & exercise), but if you must take something I would suggest green tea pills.

I’m trying to lose weight. What will happen if I use herbalife meal replacement 6x a day?
    This will be 170cal x 6times = 1020cal only. Is it healthy?

Please don’t promote other products. Herbalife is effective for me. I just want to have a faster results and I don’t use pills they sell due to limited budget. No protein powder also. So will it be a problem if I use the product 6x a day instead of 2x? What will be the consequence? Will I gain weight? Thank you!

using any diet product more than the recomended amount is dangerous.. not in the sense that you gain weight but in the sense of you can die… it could cause heart problems liver problems brain problems… you gotta be carefull.. and only use the recomended dosage…

My friend is selling the herbalife products and she is showing very good results with using the products. Could you please tell me anything good or bad that you know about herbalife? she says it will only cost me just $30 month to lose about 30 lbs. in about 6 months or so. For those that used Herbalife, does this sound right?

Does anyone recommend Herbalife’s Bulk & Muscle protein drink shake?
Will it actually work and when can you start noticing results?

    • buybulkwhey says:

Bro, I was able to go from 135 lbs to 175 lbs in one summer. I ate like a horse, made sure I ate at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight, and I used Mike Mentzer High Intensity training routines (AKA heavy duty).

Here is a youtube clip of one of the routines. clip is kinda boring, but gets the point across

Oh yeah one more thing…. EAT EAT EAT! and get plenty of protein.

Here is a video on our site with a super gainer protein shake. Eat a couple of these per day and you are sure to gain the weight.

i started the herbalife diet a week ago but have lost nothing. do you know when i should start seeing results?

    • Nixs says:

it is fine give it aleast another 2 weeks before paninking about not loseing weight. you have to give your body time to ajust to changes especially in diets it is not uncommon on a proper diet to actually gain weight in the first week.

the best way to lose weight is to do it gradually it means that is also takes longer to put the weight back on and is easier to keep off.

Plus if you start going to the gym alot you tend to start gaining weight that way as your fat is turning into mucle which in turn is heavier

Best of luck with your diet and i hope this was helpful

    Herbalife Shapeworks during breastfeeding?
Are the shakes really safe to use while breastfeeding? Has anyone used them and had good results and actually lost weight? Thanks

    • kassie p says:

i tryed the same thing as you after not shifting the baby weight, i found herbalife was not the best option tho, for a start you actually just being a human need to eat., i know that sounds odd but on herbalife you have to replace two meals a day with the shake and that just leaves you craving real substance! you always feel full after the shake but you feel VERY unsatisfied with the fact you haven’t bitten into anything or chewed or sat and really ate. another thing i found was that it actually costs alot of money as compared with just simple ol eating right. after herbalife i actually went down to a doctor run clinic [like weight watches but run by the doctors [$12 a week] and that was just all about healthy eating and weekly weigh inn’s, you brought food from the shop and just did as the doctors advised you at. well on herbalife i lost about 2 pounds a week or 1kg but with the actually healthy eating programme i lost double that [some weeks i lost 4.6 pounds = ] Cos i felt better from eating and tasting. i was walking too. also if you do loose the weight with herbalife then in the end you will have to sometime come off it and onto regular meals and without proper nutritional guidance from an actual diet its likely you will slowly put the weight back on. better to learn to just eat well and healthy than to take shakes and risk that end being very hard on yourself. sory to be so negitive about the product, just wanted to share the experence with you.

    Questions about Herbalife?
Hi! I’m interested in doing the Herbalife program, but I have some question that I’d like a distributor to answer for me :

    – When using the Herbalife products, do any of them have caffeine? Most of the diet things they sell now have a lot of caffiene in them. & If some products do have caffiene, which ones?
    – Is it safe for a 16 year old to use Herbalife? I know someone who is interested.
    – How long does it take to see results when using Herbalife as instructed correctly?

Thanks!! πŸ™‚ I hope you can answer my questions.

    • herbycarol says:

Hie there Caroline πŸ™‚ Wow! We carry the same name πŸ˜‰ but surely not same surname .. Hehehe ..

To answer to your question ..

      1) I am not sure about other products which have caffeine in it, but I know that the Teamix has caffeine contents in it. You can call up Herbalife and check with them. They will surely help you ..

      2) Yes, it is safe for small childrens who are obese too as I’ve seen a few of them here consuming Herbalife due to the obesity in young age. So it is still safe for a 16 year old to consume ..

      3) Anyway, it depends on the individual on the results depending on their metabolic rate as well as their body’s muscle mass as this plays very important role in losing weight. Somehow, you could actually see the results within 2 weeks and if you are not satisfied with the products, it’s 30days money back guaranteed. I got the results after one month due to my low metabolic rate .. I am satisfied and still losing all those unwanted fats and kgs πŸ™‚

Hope I’ve answered to all your questions and all the best in trying and consuming Herbalife πŸ™‚ Hope you will get what you always wanted ..

I need A diet plan wich will provide me with drastic results. Anyone know a good one?
Ive been on many diets and unfortunately when i try them again i don’t gain the same results . I always bounce back .
Ive tried Herbalife , and successfully lost 40 lbs , but 2 years later gained a little more than that , then i did it again , loosing 30lbs , but again i gained it back . Then i tried weight watchers , and i lost about 10 lbs but i didn’t like having to calculate points for everything , sometimes i didn’t have my books and it just got complicated.
I like being strict on my self too , so the whole being able to eat anything i wanted , wasn’t really feeling like i was on a diet ..
I don’t know , i just really want to get back to my normal size … and im begging for an effective efficient diet that will enable me to accomplish drastic results , im talking like 80 -90 lbs i want to loose.

    • Health Guy says:

If you want to lose weight, you need to two things: eat less and exercise more. Weight gain happens when you create a calorie surplus (eat more than you burn). Your body takes the excess calories and converts them to fat which get stored around your stomach, arms and thighs. The longer you remain in a calorie surplus, the more weight you’ll gain. To lose that weight, you need to do the opposite. You need to create a calorie deficit (start eating less than you burn).

Your first step is to figure out how many calories you burn on a daily basis. This calculator will help you out http://calorieneedscalculator.com The number you get from this tool is what your body burns on a daily basis. To lose weight, simply eat less. It sounds a lot easier than it is but making small changes helps you adjust to a new lifestyle. Don’t think of this as a diet, think of it as a new life. Instead of eating foods high in sugars, white flour and saturated fat, go with fruits, vegetables, whole wheats, fish, lean meats, nuts and beans. In addition to eating less, you also need to exercise more. Start off at 1-2 times per week and work your way up to 3-5 times per week.

Don’t make all of these changes at once or you won’t be able to properly adjust to them. Generally, eating healthier foods will decrease your calorie intake. Compare a doughnut to an apple and you’ll see that healthy foods are lower in calories. Any suggestions on helping with bowel movements?
My wife is having problems going to the bathroom. I have provided high fiber diets, laxatives, a company known as herbalife, and doctors with no results. We have gone to the GI specialist and just prescribes laxatives that are not working. I have tried multiple laxatives. She has had an x-ray done to see if there is anything blocking the flow and there is nothing showing up wrong. Any ideas?
She has not been taking laxitives for a long time, she is actually very against it. A another note, her stomach blows up like a baloon after eating. There is no passing of gas.

    • HenryA says:

Not to sound like I am just advocating products here, but you can try the activia yogurt. Have your wife eat that and after a couple of days she should feel a difference. I have actually seen it work with family members, just don’t expect an overnight miracle, it was over time, over the course of about a week and was told they found it easier to go after eating the yogurt once a day with less discomfort without any harsh laxatives. Hope this helps.

My best friends mom is a herbalife seller, and by using herbalife she has lost 40 pounds without even working out.
My friend, who is 14, can use most of the products without any problem, but she doesn’t particularly enjoy the taste of them. I have also tried them, but I don’t really keep up with things.

So yeah, they work for MOST people, but some people they don’t.
      You just have to try.

Anddddd, some people who may answer this will say that the products are really bad, but they most likely tried it awhile ago. Now the products have been improved, and are alot better.

What kinds of opportunities do you see in Herbalife? Health? Wealth? Success? Define success?
Relatively speaking, what makes a great, not just a good Herbalife Distributor?

Have you focussed on success being just money? Just product results? Spare cash? Steady income? Or consistency?

    What drives you?

What is your reason for being?

Do you share similar body shape to all your friends?

Did they condemn you, persecute you for network marketing?

Did you know Herbalife has listed its shares on the NYSE about 3 years ago from US$14 list price to last time I checked US$41/share, and generally viewed as under valued?

Are you aware larger numbers of businesses now use direct marketing?

That Herbalife has a team, LA Galaxy, a soccer team where David Beckham is their star recruit? Posh’s other half? Spice Gals?

The Herbalife International corporation has just had 38 consecutive quarters of growth.

In March 2007 we recorded $1Billion in sales for the quarter.

Herbalife is on target to do $5Billion in sales for 2008.

    This unprecedented growth? Wow.

Has anyone bought Herbalife only for the business opportunity and given up because they got no result?
Perhaps, when you go into a business, as a business person, you have to wonder why something is not for everyone?

Whether respect is based on opinion, experience, or reputation?

With more and more businesses using direct marketing to move what they sell, you have to ask, for those that tried and failed was it because they were bringing the need for greed to the market place, or was it personally an experience where a husband wife team failed because one was full on the other not?

Does an equilibrium of balance, better describe your own partnerships in life, or is it a deeper picture where you, as a family create team effort, and giving up cigarettes, alcohol, being healthier and having fun was too much trouble?

Finally, if you never tried Herbalife, saw some amazing Summer Results here in Australia, a first ever podium finish for mens beach volleyball, and you are full on for physical fitness, I am fully trained in sports nutrition and weight loss as well as the biz op too!

Intake of Herbalife or Forever products – Is it harmful in long run?
I have been over weight always. About few years ago, I took a one year course of “Herbalife” products to slim down. It did help, but temporarily – only until I was taking these and as soon as I stopped taking these, I became fatter again. This time, I became ‘obese’ and have accumalated a lot of fat in my tummy and hip area. Someone told me that by intaking such slimming products, in long run our body becomes kind of ‘resistant’ to losing weight and either it leaves us with a difficult flab or it takes lot of time to slim down in the natural way.
    Is this true?

I have been on a diet since last few months and have been doing regular exercise. But my body does not seem to show much results. Can I relate my weaker results to the above philosophy?

    • Cherokee Billie says:

I have always been against any diet product, natural or medical. The reason they mess with the metabolism of the body and your body becomes confused. It doesn’t know if it’s supposed to retain fat or dispose of it.

It will take time the natural way of just reducing calories to lose weight, but if you add walking daily this will help get your metabolism going once again.

Drink lots of water , eat fresh fruit and plenty of green vegetables. This is going to help you lose weight by flushing the system . I also recommend you use a powder fiber supplement twice daily as this will help your body release fat .

If you have any further questions please let me know,

I have used herbalife before and it really did work for me but i stopped taking it because 1 it was expensive and 2 because i realized that i needed to not stop taking it so that i don’t gain the weight back.. and now i’m thinking about taking it again. only because my wedding is in two months and i want to look great that day. Plus some of my friends are taking it and so it’s kinda tempting for me.. even though i know deep down inside that i shouldn’t start again i still feel undecided and i don’t know what to do. • Kim says:

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate

What experiences have you all had at this?

    • scott.braden says:

I always avoided MLM; to me the logic just didn’t make sense – in order to pay everybody in the downline, you have to put so much markup on the stuff that competitors can easily undercut the product.

I’m not sure why you’re mixing MLM and online together, they’re not necessarily the same. Both are simply “media” or “channels” for selling the products/services.

The real problem is, people who are selling “biz opp” are pushing a product, and honestly they don’t care if you ever make a dime.

The people that have real businesses, are busy running them and frankly aren’t interested in setting you up as another competitor.

So the solution, is to study successful businesses – become a permanent part time student of “what works” and get in the habit of analyzing every business you come across – what are they really selling, what’s their price/cost structure, how do they get customers, etc.

Also read everything you can get your hands one, especially re: startups, small/home biz, sales and marketing. Read books, not websites.

Before long, you’ll be covered up in great ideas – go execute them.

      Good luck,

    Thinking about becoming Herbalife distrubutor…..advice?
I would like advice from other Herbalife distrubutors – past or present – or people who use the product. I have used it in the past with good results and I am thinking about becoming a distrubutor – to make extra money to supplement my full time job. Any information about how the program works, etc. is helpful. Thank you!

Herbalife is one of the largest pyramid scams in the US.

It’s important to know that with pyramid scams, their “product” has no consumer, or end user. The game is to sign up as many salespeople as possible. It’s a sales game – you buy a supply of their product, and now you have to find other “salespeople” to sell to. It’s an exercise in salesmanship – pitching faked research and BS testimonials.

If these companies had something to sell, you would find it in stores.

      Hi There!
I am an Herbalife Independent Distributor. With that said, I don’t feel like I’m selling a “diet program”. It’s a wellness program. Herbalife bases its products around cellular nutrition. In short, supplying our cells with the nutrition that they NEED and don’t normally get. Lots of people try fasts, diets, starving and really all this does is throw the body cells into “starvation mode” … making it VERY difficult to lose weight because the cells try to cling on to the little bit of food they are getting.
Herbalife is different because it is balanced nutrition. It’s easy for people to say “just exercise and eat healthy”… but for some of us, it’s just not that easy because we don’t have the knowlege or dicipline to do so! Herbalife kind of does it for us. It’s not a low carb only or low fat only diet. It’s balanced nutrition so you’re not starving your body of anything, and in return your body sheds the weight that it doesn’t need.
Of course I swear by herbalife, not only because I sell it, but I’ve also experienced and seen the permanent results that it’s given to me and my family.

If you would like to talk more about it, please email me!

      Hope this helped!

    Has anyone tried Herbalife?
    Hey there!
    I’m 14 years old, 5’7 and weigh 160 pounds.
My cousin has been using Herbalife and has lost 7 lbs in her first 2 weeks!
Today I went to my local Herbalife center. I set my goal to 140 lbs. They told me i could take one meal (water + tea+ shake) every day around dinner time. Do you think I will see results only taking one shake everyday?

    Thanks for the help!

    • Anonymous says:

Do you mean not having as much shake as they tell you, you can drink? Dont eat less becuase eating less is actually worse that eating just the right amount. Try the diet it works my cousin and aunt and grandparents did it and lost tons of weight. But also do excercise.

P90X and HERBALIFE? Will I get results?
I already ordered the P90X WORKOUT FITNESS PROGRAM. this is an exercise program for about 13 weeks, 90 days. and well i was just wondering if its possible to lose weight and get gain some muscle mass.

I also ordered HERBALIFE products, and I know those work excellent, because ive tried them before.

My questions is, will i get results if i try P90X and get my nutrition plan by HERBALIFE PRODUCTS.

Kinda shy about this, but im a female that weighs 300 lbs. im 5’5 and 21 years old. I really wanna get back into shape. I never weighed so much before.

    Please let me know.

    and please no rude comments.

My roommate uses all herbalife supplements and is a marathon runner, so I’d say that the nutritional value is definitely there. I tend to go for more specific stuff made by different brands, but if you are going to pick one brand, that’s not a bad route to go for sure.

I’ve been doing P90X and its been pretty amazing to me from a cardio standpoint. If you haven’t ordered it yet, consider very carefully that there is a pre-fitness test they recommend you take and if you can’t do that, then the level of P90X can be too strenuous on your heart. I’m not trying to be rude at all, but at 300, there are a few things that I can imagine you may have difficulty with. I’d say to do some other types of cardio like jogging and pilates before you spend money on DVDs that may sit on the shelf for a few months. I’m not trying to be rude, I just don’t want to see anything happen to you from trying to do too much too fast.

I hope that helps. Best of luck to you

please someone, help!! i want to lose some more weight!
    i am 5ft11″ and 225lbs

    • Where's the Kaboom?? says:

Maybe a gain/plateau in weight is down to the gym and weight training? It could be muscle mass thats causing your weight gain. Try measuring your waist, thighs, arms etc and carry on going to the gym for the next 2 weeks. After that, weigh yourself and take your measurements. You may be pleasantly surprised!! Good luck.

Okay, today is Thursday Feb. 26, i want to start doing herbalife again, tommorow.
I’ve tried it before, but then I stopped taking the supplements. But this time i am for realz that i am going to stick to this diet of herbalife.

So if i start this diet tommorow, probably by march 13, I will be at least 10 pounds lighter.

People that have done herbalife before or are still on it tell me what were your results in a week, or on a month?
    How much weight you lost?
Tell me how you do your shakes so they can taste better and still lose weight.

Okay I’m sharing with you my own experience .. I started consuming Herbalife since August. I consume Herbalife every morning and night, means I replace both my meals and follow it strictly. I take 4 scoops of F1 and 2 scoops of F3 per shake with 400ml of water, which means, 8 F1 and 4 F3 per day. I lost 1kg for the first week. It’s just that you must take your shakes well and no cheatings like snacking or eating in between your 3 main meal, breakfast, lunch, dinner. You will feel hungry as your eating style for your shake is not right, that’s all.

I didn’t feel hungry at all or have the intentions to cheat and eat when I am hungry. If at all I feel hungry, I eat fruits, that’s all. It’s just as simple as that. I lost weight with the normal products which you all consume too, the F1, F3 and teamix. I drink 1 litre of tea per day, means 3 to 4 servings per day (250ml per time). You also must remember that when you make your shake, if you add soya or anything to it, you are actually going to add in more calories and sugar into your meal. So try to avoid this kind of things in your diet πŸ™‚ Anyway, it’s just as simple as A-B-C.

Herbalife is claiming excellent results for weight management. Can anyone confirm if its true?
Herbalife opened its office in Malaysia in January 2006. They claim to be doing extremely well in sales via MLM. Apparently the product is giving excellent results to reduce weight. Is this true? Any good and bad stories?

    • Know it all says:

Not everything works the same for everybody, you can try but remember they have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee so pay close attention and do not loose your money. They are expensive unless you actually want to become a distributor. But I cannot make any recommendations for anything else in Malaysia because what I use is not there yet.

does herbalife work and will it get rid of my cellulite?
if so how long until i see results?
p.s my cellulite is not horrible and im already skinny just want to get rid of it

    • ClickMaster says:

Here’s the sad story of cellulite. Cellulite is not fat, it’s a genetic-based condition and once you have it, you will probably have it for life. However, because cellulite involves fat, you may be able to reduce the prominence of it by burning fat. Unfortunately, cellulite seems to present in those areas where fat tends to leave last…buttocks and thighs. So, reducing the cellulite effect will, for most people, require burning excess fat to a very low body fat percent….something which usually means a serious lifestyle change and commitment to proper eating habits for life with no guarantees.

Exercise won’t help beyond burning a few more calories so plan your workouts around fitness goals such as excellence in a sport or occupation, strength, endurance, flexibility, systemic fitness, general health and well being, body sculpting, body awareness, coordination, poise and comportment, balance, body composition, mental acuity, educational experience, etc. Don’t exercise with the hope it will help make cellulite disappear.

Here’s an excerpt from a Medline Plus article.

“A great deal of money is spent by people who want to rid themselves of cellulite, but no amount of weight loss, exercise, massages, wraps, creams, supplements, or surgery has proven to effectively eliminate it once you have it. Liposuction, for instance, is not recommended for cellulite, and may even make it look worse.”

You can learn more about cellulite by following the links below.

I tried herbalife several years ago and did not have the results I wanted. There were definately pros and cons to the diet for me…
Pros: I didn’t crave anything, I had plenty of energy, lost inches faster than I lost pounds
Cons: The fat blockers worked a little too well, and I lost control of my bowels (yeah…pretty gross),
and I would feel nauseated from all the pills I had to pop each day..original greens, original yellow, multivitamin, fat blocker blah blah blah
Those protein shakes weren’t the tastiest.

I’ve now been on it for about 4 months although i’ve not lost more weight I have not gained any of it back, i’ve been able to maintain the 8lb loss and loss of inches.

As it’s pretty useless anyway add whatever you like to make it palatable.

“The simple reality is that Herbalife products still have only the most common ingredients in amounts that do not measure up. They don’t bother using the clinically proven amounts of anything, and yet their products still cause side effects. So ultimately, as you can see, Herbalife products do not actually work. And honestly speaking, they are no different from the average scam now sold.
Side effects include headaches, jitteriness, nervousness, irritability, insomnia, and an elevated heartbeat.”
