Fading Freckles

Skin Bleaching Products – How To Get Rid of Freckles And Age Spots

There are several different types of skin bleaching products on the market today. They are meant to even out skin tone and get rid of dark spots that are usually caused by the sun. Years ago, women often used lemon juice to fade freckles. Today, there are a number of products for skin bleaching that work more effectively at fading freckles and even some birthmarks. They will give you a more even skin tone and make you feel more confident in your appearance.

Most of the skin bleaching products consist of skin bleaching creams. These are products that you can use at home to gradually fade freckles and age spots on your face and even your hands. They are mostly used by women, although men who are concerned about a birthmark or age spots will often use this products as well.

Some people prefer to use skin bleaching products that they obtain at a salon. There are some beauty salons who will offer this service to customers, using their own skin bleaching products. Many people feel that this is a better solution to skin bleaching at home while others would prefer to save the money and do it themselves. If you follow the directions on the products, you can have a safe experience and may be able to fade some of the discolorations in your skin to give you a more even skin tone.

Both younger and older women are using skin bleaching products and no more so than in Hollywood. Celebrities often try to get rid of freckles and age spots so that they have no signs of these marks on their face, arms and hands. The products work gradually to fade and eventually diminish the dark spots so that the skin appears more uniform in color.

About Author
Products for skin bleaching work better than concealing makeup because they have a permanent effect. If you have a large area of freckles that you wish to lighten, you should try the skin bleaching products on a small patch of skin and see if there is a reaction in 48 hours before continuing.

Does palmer’s fade cream work for fading freckles?

    • mister_persuasion says:

I sure hope not. Why would you want to fade your freckles anyway? Girls with freckles are HOT! The more freckles a girl has the HOTTER she looks! Freckles are the first asset I look for on a girl before asking her out on a date. A girl without freckles is like a night without stars. Freckles are so HOT that there are even web sites dedicated to women covered in freckles and the guys who love them. Freckles ROCK!

Does freckles fading cream help to fade acne marks?

    • Prettyinpink says:

Yes usually the creams will help fade any marks from acne as it helps to reduce the appearance of melanin which is the pigment causing the freckles and marks. Usually on the packets it says it helps to reduce the appearance of blemishes, so it should work.

I personally used a ‘fade out’ product from boots which worked very well.

      Hope I have helped

How can I stop my freckles from fading?
When it starts to get colder outside and I don’t spend as much time outside, my freckles start to fade. I know a lot of people try hard to cover them up, but I love mine! Is there anything besides sun that makes them darker?
Okay, well I guess freckles aren’t worth skin cancer.
Maybe people will finally stop comparing me to Punky Brewster. Not sure if thats a good thing or not.

    • Just me. says:

Well, that’s a first! Never have heard of someone actually wanting their freckles to stop fading.. I just suggest not to wear any makeup that covers them. Just lipstick & mascara for example. Some people do the tanning thing, but I think that is so unsafe and not worth it! Now, you got me wondering what your freckles look like!

I have a special event on Saturday, and I want to fade these ugly freckles fast!

    • lmsabm says:

If you have freckles and are seeking natural ways to help fade them try the following. Foods such as lemons, onions, cucumbers, and parsley when juiced can be applied to the skin, and this will help them vanish. Yogurt which you may have in your refrigerator is not only healthy for your body, it can be a means to fade those unwanted freckles when mixed with a bit of honey and applied to the face. This will create a type of facemask, which can be washed off after 30-45 minutes.

If you wish to pursue other methods to fade your freckles, there are products on the market such as bleaching creams, and chemical peels which your dermatologist can perform on your skin. In addition, a new form of freckle removal is a process of the use of intense pulsed light. Lasers removal of freckles is another means of ridding the skin of unwanted freckles.

When thinking of ways to fade freckles, try using vitamin A, as well as Retin-A. While this is not an immediate cure, over a period of time freckles will fade.

  8. nice336 says:

Does anyone know a good natural way of fading freckles without going to the doctor to have them lasered?
I can’t afford the laser treatment and fade products from the store either do not work or are toxic for you.

    • Bree says:

I’m a natural red head and I use Loreal Sublime Bronze sunless tanner. It looks great on and hides my freckles while giving me a great tan. Be sure to get the kind with the bronzer in it so you can see where it goes on and you wont look spotted or streaky.

How Can I Stop My Freckles From Fading?
I look at pictures of myself when I was younger and my freckles really stank out and I love that! Now they are practically gone. What can I do to bring them back? And it’s winter right now in Cleveland, Ohio so tanning and going out in the sun isn’t really an option and tanning booths are totally out of the question. And no I don’t think I just want to draw them back on with a sharpie but thanks for your help.

    • Tara P says:

Really there is not a whole not you can do to stop them from fading unless you want to damage your skin. Freckles are caused by the melinin in our skin reacting to the uv rays in the sun. So the only way to cause them is to be out in the sun or doing sunbeds all really bad for your skin.
you need to decide which is more important for you having cute freckles now or having bad wrinkles and unsightly undamage when you get older, because whichout a doubt that will happen.

is there any homemade remedies for fading freckles, and is it true that lemon fades freckles?

    • maat13101 says:

No, lemon does not fade freckles. What fades them is staying out of the sun, or using lots of sun screen and a long sleeved shirt when you have to be in the sun.

Freckles are just a spotted tan, that’s why you get more in the summer, or the ones you have get darker.

I have a very fair, hypersensitive skin and suffered very severe sun damage. I had a mass of facial freckles and pigmentation, uneven tone and severe dry skin that was flaking and premature wrinkles and lines. This treatment completely and permanently healed all my conditions and greatly rejuvenated face and skin. It greatly diminishes lines and wrinkles
It has worked wonders for others on Answers. See testimonial from “big papy” below ##
First tighten skin to prevent pulling/stretching by opening mouth about 3/4″ and by pulling lips firmly back against teeth.
Do quite vigorous forward and back massaging using finger tips and front of hands. Circular is not effective. Gradually build up to vigorous as skin has to adjust. For best/fastest results try to do for 15 to 30 min or more daily (can do in two or three sessions). They will almost immediately start to fade and in 7 to 14 days, depending on how long/how vigorous you have made it, you will see definite fading. It will rid face of ALL freckles and blemishes and will greatly rejuvenate skin and face over time.
Use any oil. I have had great results using olive oil.

Would fading creams that are used for brown spots, ect. work on freckles?
I have freckles on my arms and I want them gone! They bug me so bad I was wondering if anyone had a solution on fading or lighting them?

    • kaynoxdemon says:

I’m a beauty therapist and only know of one way of removing freckles and that is by using laser (IPL, VPL, SPL etc.) this is a pigment remover (it is also a permanent hair removal system) that works on the pigment in the skin by heating up the cells and killing them off. The only down side is the cost and that it doesn’t always work and can also make your freckles worse
But I think that freckles are beautiful; don’t get me wrong when I was in my teens I hated mine but now (23 years old) I have grown to love them, I hope you will be able to also.
      Hope this helps you 😉

How long does it take to lose a tan? I’m hoping that my freckles will fade if I stay indoors.?
I hate having freckles. I’ve tried fading/bleaching cream, and chemical peel to get rid of them. But my skin is super sensitvitive. I’ve been burn several time. Heck, even using too much sunblock have given me burn. If I say inside, will my freckles fade on own and will my skin get lighter?

    • Emilie P says:

Unfortunately..the more you are in the sun the more freckles you will get. Freckles may fade a tad but they are permanent. Stick to a good sunblock whenever you go outside winter or summer. Eventually the tan on your skin will fade but always remember that any kind of skin exposure is sun damage. That includes tanning beds – don’t let the salespeople tell you otherwise.

    • The legend of the FFF says:

Hydroquinone has been a very popular treatment, however it can irritate the skin.

Kojic acid, discovered in Japan in 1989, is a natural product derived from fungi (mushroom). It is gentle on the skin and very effective in treating skin discoloration. Penetrating upper skin layers, it inhibits the formation of the pigment.

Alpha-hydroxy acids help to shed old cells faster, therefore they will be helpful as well. By removing the outer skin cells, which are usually darker, you will make your freckles or age spots lighter and less visible.

How can i get rid of freckles cause by the sun without fading my skin?
Does anybody know how i could get rid of freckles that are on my arms? I never really had any but i started going to the tanning bed and i got a few more freckles and i might keep getting them so i would like to know if there’s a way to get rid of them…? I don’t want anything that’s going to peel my skin or fade it because i have a tan so it would look weird if i had certain spots lighter than others…

    • Amanda says:

Freckles are a sign of UV damage. If you continue to go to the tanning bed, you will get more freckles. I’m sure there are laser treatments or something, but the easiest thing to do is prevent more by protecting your skin from sun damage and UV rays.

I know, I know embrace your freckles, but I think that their going a little overboard. I have so many! And any other natural recipes that work better would be helpful! Thank you =).

    • Anonymous says:

Apply lemon juice. Lemons are a natural bleaching agent. Using your fingers, you should smear the juice on your face, much as you would a moisturizer. You should blot your face with a tissue and apply moisturizer. Although some natural remedies are rather questionable, this is a time-honored method to reduce the appearance of your freckles.

Rinse your face with sour milk or sour cream. Many swear by this traditional freckle fading remedy. When used on normal skin, the milk has a gentle, soothing effect without the irritation of other natural remedies. Keep in mind that all faces react differently to some products so trial and error is the best way to decide the remedy that works best with your own skin.

      -Lemon juice

      -Parsley juice

-Onion juice (Or crushed onions) – not a very pleasant solution…

-Cucumber juice (you can also crush a cucumber into paste and use the resulting material

-Fenugreek oil (Dilute in cream or yogurt)

-A mixture of 2 oz. Lemon juice, 2 oz. rum, 1 tsp. glycerin, and 4 tbsp. buttermilk

-let the mixture set on your face for 30 minutes and wash, no more than twice a day.

I love freckles, especially on red heads. avoid the sun mostly to prevent freckles from becoming darker

      Lemon Juice Freckle Treatment

To use lemon juice to lighten freckles, start with a clean, makeup free face. Wash your face with plain soap and water or just rinse with water. Slice open a fresh lemon. Squeeze a bit of juice onto your fingertips and rub it in a circular motion onto the freckles. If it stings, burns or itches, stop immediately and rinse it off. If you can sit outside in the sun after applying the lemon juice, do so as it is reputed to work faster and better.

Do not use the fake lemon juice concentrate that comes in a bottle or a plastic container shaped like a lemon. Most contain additives and preservatives that may not be suitable for the face

There were totally 15 moles / black spots on my face and body before, I tried this mole remover and most of my moles were gone right now. But please pay attention, don’t over use in order to avoid getting scar. Hope it works for you too.

For more information, please see the following using methods, it is very useful for unwanted moles, beauty marks, black spots.

10 ML Skin Care non-Laser Removal

      (1) Clean the nevus and the area around it, use a toothpick (do not use a cotton stick to tip or wipe) to mix the liquid and sediment, and then tip a little amount of the mole remover and apply it onto the middle of the nevus. The area would turn to white colour after 1 minute. Use alcohol or water to clean the mole area after 10 minutes (If you tip the amount of mole remover properly, you don’t have to clean). The mole would peel off (May help with finger) in 8 to 20 days. Repeat the process again until the mole peeling off if the colour of the nevus is dark. (it is suggested applying the liquid to nevus on hands or legs first to see the results and learn to control the usage before applying the liquid to other areas of the body, DON’T TRY on FACE for the first time!)

Hydroquinone is the most effect ingredient in lightening pigmentation. However, the FDA is trying to pull it off the shelves because it is processed through the liver and can therefore cause liver damage after prolonged use. You are supposed to use it for 3 month, stop using it for 3 months go back on for 3 months, ect. Many people just continue to use it all the time and that is when liver problems may occur. Also, you cannot use it at all if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
There are alternative serums that you can use with natural products such as licorice root and kojic acid (made from mushrooms). They will take a little longer to work, but will be safer in the long run. I would reccomend DDF Intensive Holistic Lightner from Sephora.
One more thing – these products are more effective on sun spots and age spots than they are on freckles. Good luck!

      lemon juice
      face peels
      sour milk EW!
      AND loads more !

the point is there’s no way of geting rid of them permanently, you can cover them up with makeup and make sure you all ways where sun screen (so the freckles dont get darker)

Can anyone recommend products for fading freckles/acne scars?
I have a few freckles and acne scars on my face. They’re not too dark, but I’d really like to fade them away. Can anyone recommend a product (hydroquinone-free) that would work for fading away these discolorations??? Thanks.

Don’t waste money on expenxsive products. Use a lemon at night only because if it’s in the sun it will leave an ugly mark. D: but use lemon and dab it on at night and it goes easily away in like two days, no joke it worked for me. on harder scars it takes a while.

      Hoped I helped.:
      God Bless You.

Is lemon juice a good remedy for fading freckles?
I have a large number of freckles all over my body and they really do stand out. I’ve had them since I was a kid and they’re genetically inherited so they’re not the type which fades during the winter. I’ve heard it’s not really that possible to remove them completely yet, I’ve read many things about lemon juice being able to work to at least fade them. Is this true? Also, if lemon juice is used, will this damage the skin? I read somewhere that they may cause the skin to be patchy… is that right? I’m just really curious to know before I actually try this remedy for myself. Plus, don’t try telling me how wonderful freckles are as if you saw how many I had, then you’d understand why I want them to fade.

    • Skincare Guru says:

Lemon Juice is a fruit acid ( AHA). It will gently exgfoliate the skin but is not an ingredient commonly used for freckles and pigmentation. I would certainly not recommend this for long term use on the skin as in its raw form it has not been correctly formulated for the skin. You would be much better using a lighenting agent containing an ingredient called Licorice as this lightens the freckles and helps to prevent more from forming. You also need to stay out of the sun as UV will make them worse. Use a good sunscreen on a daily basis to to protect your skin from those damaging UV rays.
