There have been increasing amounts of discussion surrounding the use of organic face cream, and how they relate to the myriad synthetic products on the market. One difficulty with monitoring the differences between types of skin creams is that the ingredients, and the function of the active agents, differ, sometimes radically, among product brands. So monitoring the function of these products, based off of organic or inorganic ingredients, tends to be a case-by-case basis.
In the case of antioxidant face cream organic products versus synthetic petroleum-based products, a number of factors must be weighed: First, how do they address the effects of the oxidization process in the body? How are free radicals managed, and how is a healthy balance maintained? These products look at both remedying the damage done through oxidation, and erecting a defense against further oxidative damage, and further production of free radicals within the functioning body.
Until recently it had been assumed that the proper treatment of these physical issues was beyond the scope of a organic face cream. Oxidation, and its effects on the body, were often attended to by products that used complex chemical formulas to provoke an anti-oxidation effect, working from the philosophy that the solution to the problem of the presence of free radicals was worth the taking in of any number of synthetic active agents.
Unfortunately, the data that has come to light antioxidant face cream organic products versus synthetic ones indicates that a larger ratio of chemicals applied to the skin, and taken in through the pores, remains in the body indefinitely. Drawing into tissue deeper than the dermis, compounds such as dangerous parabens can build up into such concentrations that can lead to negative effects such as the trigger of cancer growth in the body.
In this case, what organic face cream may offer is not only a variant method of dealing with oxidization in the body, but a rethinking of skin care philosophy entirely. Rather than letting the ends justify the means in regard to the body's health, which has resulted in more harm than good over a period of long term intensive use, a holistic method is put forward in which the body is treated organically.
Through the use of a number of newly rested organic solutions such as Coenzyme Q10, clinical tests have begun to show that the possibility offered through organic face cream may yet change the very face of the industry itself.

QUESTION:
What's a good face wash to reduce the size of my pores, oilyness, some pimples, and a little redness?
Pretty much all in the question.
My pores are really noticeable and NO wash has ever even reduced the size. Also, I get those monthly pimples and i have some minor zits on my forehead. But my main concern is my pores...I've already tried The "wave" Duo, Nuetrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser, Biore Pore Unclogging scrub, and Clean and Clear MORNING BURST® Facial Cleanser. I have also used Nuetrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser which is probably the best one so far pimple-wise. Oh, and I have also tried a couple of the Biore pore unclogging strips but those didn't make a difference.
Also, any good moisterizers? I've used Clean and Clear Finishes Pore Perfecting Moisturizer and Clean and Clear ADVANTAGE® Acne Control Moisturizer .
THANKS SO MUCH for any good recommendations! I appreciate it VERY much!
And I've used Nuetrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask-
ANSWER:
I have suffered with acne for some time. I tried Murad, ProActive, Neutragena, Aveeno, Perricone products, RetinA etc. None of them worked...
I recently started using PCASkin Blemish Control Kit and some products from the Hyper pigmentation Kit and it's working! My pores are smaller/more refined, I'm less oily, and the dark marks that acne left are fading...I'm sooo excited, by the end of the year I'm thinking that I should be completely clear. My Mother who never really has anything nice to say about my skin is even asking what I'm doing! I purchased it from my esthetician, but you can get it cheaper @ skinstore.com though. You'll se that PCASkin has overall excellent reviews/ratings from other users.

this is my one and only self esteem issue. i don't wear any coverup/foundation/powder or anything that covers my face, only make up i wear is mascara. my cheeks and chin are usually fine, every once in a blue moon they act up, but its nothing too bad. my nose has TONS of blackheads, large and noticeable. and my forehead is the big problem area. i wear my hair out of my face, i wash my face twice 3 times a day (when i wake up, after school, before bed). i drink 10 8floz of water a day, i don't touch my face you would think my face would be flawless but nope. i get break outs all the time. and now they've moved down to my cheeks which i was always confident with because they are clear. but my darn forehead. i break out with a zit at least once every 2-3 days and they last about 5-7 days so there is at least 4 on my face at all times. its a bummer and i see girls who exercise and don't wash their face right after and they touch their face and wear make up and have the prettiest clearest most flawless faces ever. i can't stand it.
what products should i take? what works the best for extremely stubborn acne?!

i also get facials every couple months-
ANSWER:
I had this problem as well. It seriously seems like the people who do nothing to their skin look amazing and those of us who work hard for our skin not so much! It is so unfair. But I went to the dermatologist and she prescribed me with tazorac and aczone (creams you put on your face) and solodyn (a pill you take at night) and my skin went from being AWFUL to really really clear. I completely reccomend you go to a dermatologist. Although it can be expensive it is completely worth it. If you can't though I would try neutrogina skin Id. My friend uses it and it worked pretty good for her. And always, always wash your makeup off before you go to bed no matter what. Good luck!! :]

ANSWER:
i used a bar of hypoallergenic soap in my teen years. i never had acne since i was 13. just get in the shower, use your normal body wash and shampoo & conditioner, then take the hypoallergenic soap and put it on a wash cloth, wash thoroughly but gently. when you get, rinse your face off with cold water, this will close pores. then PAT your face with a towel until it dries. good luck

clinque breaks me out even worse-
ANSWER:
I would suggest using Philosophy's purity made simple. Thats what I swear by and I have combo/dry skin also. It is a cleanser and toner all in one so I would cut out the Neutrogena toner. I have learned that it is best to keep your skin routine to a minimum, too many products could make your skin worse, so I would recommend sticking to just one cleanser, followed by a good moisturizer (CeraVe has a really great moisturizer for dry skin) and an exfoliant used once a week(I use St. Ives apricot scrub for sensitive skin). Then you could spot treat any breakouts you have with an acne cream from Clean and Clear(since you like that brand) If that doesn't work, you could always see a dermatologist, and they could prescribe an acne cream for you like Differin or Retin A. Unfortunately, a lot of this is just trial and error, it took me several years to find what products work with my skin.

The Morning

-Moisturizer (something like Clinique Dramatically Different)
-SunscreenAt Night
-Cleanser (Something like Cetaphil)
-Moisturizer (Could try Clinique Moisture Surge.)
-An antioxidant serum (like Clinique Continuous Repair)Stay away from anything that says "foaming" because foaming is code for harsh detergents. With dry skin, you have to be gentle with it.

ANSWER:
I recommend Mary Kay Velocity Facial Cleanser and Velocity Moisturizer. It's important to not mix brands! Find one you like and stick to it! You need to clean and moisturize once in the morning when you wake up and at night before you go to bed. Use the Mary Kay acne treatment gel. A good skin care program will make a big difference. Also make sure you have a good healthy diet! Too much junk food can cause acne!

If you are using the Apricot scrub every day, stop. It is meant to be used 1-3 times a week. I use that as well, and I love it, but only use it 1-3 times a week b/c it can cause adverse effects if you over use it!!The rest I see nothing wrong with at all using daily.

i also get a facial every couple months-
ANSWER:
Go to your doctor if you've tried over the counter products & they don't work. I get consistant cystic acne, I usually have 2 or 3 at a time & I'm 41. The doctor gave me an antibiotic/antibacterial solution called Clyndatech, it's active ingrediant is Clyndamycin. It comes in a bottle with a dabbing applicator & you just dab it on affected areas twice a day after using a mild face wash. Don't use too much it is alcohol based & can sting a bit & can cause some drying of the skin. I've been using it for 5 days now, twice a day & mine have started clearing up really well, but my skin is now a little dry, so I've cut back to just using it at night & just using a light moisturiser in the morning after I've cleaned my skin. I had an awful habit of squeezing my acne, but it just made it more infected & sore. I haven't touched my skin all week & it's never looked better. You could also try Retin-A cream, also from the doctor, it comes in a gel as well but it is alcohol based & also stings & dries the skin out very quickly, it feels like wearing a dried mud mask, very tight, I'd recommend the cream. Retin-A tightens the pores & works on the keratin in the skin, reducing the oil the skin pores produce. You can use Clyndatech in the morning & Retin-A at night as a combination. You can also get an oral antibiotic to help clear skin stubborn skin blemishes, just tell your doctor you've tried everything & it's now affecting your self-esteem - that's what I said. You can google both these products for further information. Good luck.

ANSWER:
no. this will not clear your skin. i don't think you want a realistic answer to this question if all you want to hear is "yes, this works perfectly".
referring to point b, if you really know what works for your skin, why are you even asking this question in the first place?
anyway, as somebody who has a mother as a dermatologist, i know that sometimes less is more. the reason your skin is drying out actually IS because of all the products. this is not some sort of lie that everyone is telling you.
Try to stock up on products of as few brands a possible, and that way you know they will compliment eachother and not actually make damage worse. Use as directed on the label, no more, no less. The reason they have this guidance on the label is specifically because using too much of a product can, believe it or not, dry out skin and cause major irritation.
I have pretty terrible skin myself, and here is a routine I used that completely cleared my skin as well as prevented dryness and peeling:Morning: Clean&Clear Morning Burst facial cleanser
Clean&Clear Oil Free Dual Action Moisturizer
Clean&Clear Persa-Gel 10Afternoon: Any brand of those cleansing pads
Clean&Clear Dual Action MoisturizerNight: Neutrogena Clear Pore Cream Cleanser
Clean&Clear Persa-Gel 10Right Before Bed: Clean&Clear Night Soft
Try to do the same exact thing every day, as this is the only way a single product can really start to make a difference.
Good luck, and I hope you realize that what everyone is telling you is true and try this routine, because is really worked for me!

QUESTION:
Spot help,anybody????????????
I am 14, living in the UK and I have had spots since i was 12 and i have literally tried everything there is but nothing seems to work, I drink 2-3 litres of water a day, get plenty of fresh air and exercise, eat healthily and wash my face morning and night with also using clean and clear advantage spot gel in the day time (which did work at the start but my skin has got used to it so it doesn't work as well). I have hypothyroidism, could that have anything to do with my spots. I want to know what spot cream, wash, gel etc that works (no matter what the price is but has to be in the uk and best in stores but i don't mind if it isn't as i want it that bad) but I do have sensitive skin so i do buy products for sensitive skin but they don't seem to work as well as the ones that are not for sensitive skin (i use them sometimes but they make my skin dry even though i moisturise). Please help me as spots are all i think about and I mean that is all i think about, my friends get annoyed with me because i complain that i don't have their skin (as nearly everyone in my year has spotless skin) My mum says that the more i freak out about spots the more i get them so calm down but i have tried sooooooooo hard not to think of them but i cant. QUESTION:
HUGE pimple! I don't have acne, just ONE pimple!?
I went to camp last week and when I got back I realized I had a HUGE pimple on the top of my nose. I have tried to get rid of it for the last couple days but it won't go away!
Here are the acne products I have available..
Clearasil Vanishing Cream (benzoyl peroxide)
Clean and Clear Spot Treatment Advantage
Oxy Pads
Salycic acid 2% body wash and face washWhat should I use to clear it up?
It just came to a head today and it hurts so bad. It is also bright red!
how do I get rid of it?-
ANSWER:
It's just one pimple....try having them all over your face.Well anyways the clearsil vanishing cream works pretty good as a leave on type thing. First you want to wash your face with your salycic acid wash. (Do NOT overwash your face this can cause more breakouts)
Next just put the cream on heavily on the spot. (This is called spot treatment) Just put about a pea sized amount on the area but don't rub it in. Leave there to air dry. This will dry out the pimple. It's usually good to do it overnight so that you don't touch it.
Which brings to another thing DON'T TOUCH the pimple. It will make it worse and more infected.
And yeah pimples hurt....the beauty of being a teen.
And I know people say to NOT pop pimples but I have noticed that if I ever have a pimple that looks like it's about to burst and is going to pop on it's own any minute anyways, I go ahead and pop it. But you have to be SURE to squeeze out as much pus and blood as you can. It sounds gross but it's true. USE CLEAN HANDS!!!! And wash the area afterwards. Don't overdue it or you can scar your face. I have been told by many people not to pop your pimples for this reason but I have noticed that if i leave it alone it can leave dark purple marks in my skin that take FOREVER to go away.
But anyways, best thing is to leave it alone after you put a little bit of creams on it. Just forget about it and put some makeup over it. It's not a big deal, I had to live with my whole face covered in acne once....trust me, you have it easy.

QUESTION:
Any skin care tips that you reccommend?
- The obvious one, drinking water - during the summer I drank nothing but water.
- Fruit and vegetables, I love both these thankfully.. so I have no problem having either.
- Clearasil Ultra - rapid action treatment cream.
- Clean & Clear advantage kit, includes moisturiser, exfoliater etc.
- For taking off my makeup I use 'Simple' brand which doesn't have any alcohol or anything in it. I always remove my makeup before I go to sleep also.
- Clearasil spot control, deep cleansing 3 in 1 wash, oil-free,
- Clean & Clear daily wash, which has gentle micro beads and is oil-free also.
- Clean & Clear deep action freshing gel cleanser, which is the most recent one I'm using.
- Face steaming.
- Toothpaste on overnight.
- I get loads of sleep also, maybe more than I actually should!
- Washing my face twice a day, I have done this.. but it tends to make my skin even worse? so I tend to wash my face once in the morning before putting my makeup on, though this doesn't seem to do anything great.Okay that's basically everything I can think of that I have used for my skin.
Is there anything there I haven't used, that you could think of that has helped you?
I would be most thankful!P.s the condition of my skin is not great.. I don't have dry skin, just very oily skin... so I'm prone to spots, every 2 weeks or so I get these sore red lumps which usually appear on the nose and chin, takes around 3days to go, other than that I get the usually pimples with puss (digusting I know) these usually appear on the chin, and the area between my eyesbrows on my forehead.
Just to add, the list of things I have used/done is not like I've used them within a month, they've been all used over a long period of time

QUESTION:
How to get rid of acne?
I know. This is a question that's asked millions of times. Trust me, I've read almost all the answers. And nothing seems to work for me.I take good care of my skin to make sure it's clean and hydrated. I wash my face twice a day with my acne cleanser. I've tried many so far including Clean and Clear Advantage, Acne Free, Biore Deep Cleanser, the list could go on. Basically, my face is probably filled with all these acne washes. I also am an avid water drinker and a huge fan of eating fruits and veggies. And yet, my face is filled with acne. I've talked to a doctor who prescribed me a medicated cream for acne, but it only drys up my face.
I've done ridiculous things that I found on YouTube like oatmeal face wash, ice cube facial, seaweed. I'm laughed at for doing all this. But I can't help but laugh knowing how far I am going.
I just want clear skin like any other teen, but nothing is helping me. Is there some other tactic that I've missed? All in all, how do I get rid of acne??
Oh and I have very oily skin. If that helps at all.-
ANSWER:
There are two things you missed. One is turmeric paste. It is by far the only thing that worked on my acne filled skin. it took me 12 years to know that it is the ultimate acne killer.just practice what I did
1. at night, 40 minutes, before going to bed, clean your face with your usual face wash.
2. mix half a tablespoon of turmeric power to water and apply it to your face.
2. wait until the paste is dry on your face.
3. wash off.
4. go to sleep. in your sleep, the turmeric will clean your acne.now there is only one problem that you have to put up with and that is getting stained from the yellow color of your turmeric paste. if you wear foundation you should be fine though. this turmeric gives a strange glow to it and people will admire your face a lot.
keep wearing the turmeric paste every night. but then once you see visible result which includes clean and fair skin you can lessen the application to 2 days a week. i forgot to say that the turmeric will control your skin oil. it is just all in one skin care ingredient.
another secret is to practice law of attraction daily to get acne free skin. it will boost your confidence in yourself and also give you profound success in getting the most beautiful skin. refer to http://goddessoftheworld.blogspot.com/2011/08/how-to-use-law-of-attraction-for-skin.html
trust me, it works.

QUESTION:
Acne acne acne, what to do?
I'm 14 years young, and I have acne.I really need some good advice. It's like mild acne that doesn't go away,it only brings up new acne.(underskin pimples+whiteheads, forehead, around mouth, and right cheek.)Im so embarassed by my acne, that I only leave my house when I absolutely have to(its summer)(Oh, and the fact I have scars doesn't help either).I've tried every homemade remedy out there. None of them worked. I've also tried many other store bought products. Im just really looking for help.My acne is causing me to waste my life inside my house.Heres what I do to help my acne at the moment(which is kinda helping, but not really,it's still there and noticable as ever).
MORNING-Wash face with Clean and Clear Deep action cream cleanser(oil free, sensitive skin). Then I use Nivea Moisturizing Toner, and then Clean and Clear Advantage oil free acne moisturizer.NIGHT-same facewash and then(diluted)tea tree oil.
I ALWAYS wear my hair up&out of my face, dont touch face& drink water, lots!!-
ANSWER:
I had the same problem.
I suggest going to the store( its a blue and white box, and a white w/ blue tube, kinda smallish) and buying persa-gel ( it works sooooo great, by morning you will have like 50% less pimples, wear it a night on your face, back, etc. but be careful it stains! its worth it though!) and ordering proactive( i know every1 else said that too but its true). If NONE of that works go to a dermatoligist.
Good luck, sweetheart!

QUESTION:
I'm so fed up with my skin, acne meds?
So, since I was eight I've had these little red bumbs all over my forehead that were filled with gunk (sort of like whiteheads) and horrible blackheads all over my nose. So my first dermatologist put me on a combo of differin and clindagel [ouch] and made me grow my bangs out
while using purpose soap. I used that for four years (yes, four years) and it did absolutely nothing. Then for a bit I tried Clean and Clear's Acne Advantage (ouch) and that didn't work. I also tried several other drug store acne washes and creams and what not, all with varying, yet minimal effect. Then at 12 i switched to ProActiv and it cleared all the little bumbs up but made my blackheads worse and my skin greasier. And now at 15, I switched to MaxClarity, that foam one, in June and that seemed to work a bit more than usual. My bumps came back, though, and it only cleared my blackheads minimally. So now, seven years after it all started, my skin still sucks. I want to go to the dermatologist again soon, but I won't be able to this month. What do you think they'll say? Are there any good perscription products for non-cystic crazy stubborn acne like mine? I also have some on my back, chest, and booty...
And what about birth control? Is that only for people with really bad or cystic?
Blah. Advice, please?
And i wash my face thoroughly and don't wear much makeup and whatnot. I have a good diet and I excercise. Just in case you felt like mentioning that...

ANSWER:
Hi,
Acne is always unpleasant to deal with. While acne is typically seen as a teenage phase, it can stick around and haunt us throughout adulthood. Not to mention the ugly scars that are left behind. Acne can make it hard to even want to leave the house and makes day-to-day activities a total nightmare. While there are a variety of acne cure solutions on the market, including all kinds of prescription drugs, creams, serums, and multiple step systems. However, if you've dealt with acne you know firsthand that playing around with different treatments can just lead to more breakouts and the disappointment can be heart-shattering. Having such high expectations for a product that doesn't work is an awful feeling. Not to mention the numerous side effects of many prescription acne cure medicines - including weight gain, dry skin and mood swings, as well as the side effects of face products, which also includes dry, peeling skin.
Recently, a friend of mine came across a website, with a great money back guarantee, free shipping and a great product that seemed to get rave reviews from everyone who tried it. She knew about my struggles with my own skin, and after trying it and loving it she suggested it to me.MediAc changed my life and the way I think about my acne problems. Acne is not only an external problem, but internal as well. This product uses homeopathic remedies to clear skin - a solution that's completely changed my skin.

QUESTION:
Skin question?
Hi!!!
My skin isin't too bad but I always get zits on my forehead and I tend to like pick at them and stuff which just makes them worse obviously!! But I used to use Oil-Free acne wash mask scrub from neutrogena, Pore unclogging scrub from Cvs, and this really good brevoxyl cream wash that my sister got fromm her dermatologist. I didn't have a schedule with them or anything but Imostly just used the oil-free acne wash mask from neutrogena, then my chin started to dry out really bad and it itched and hurt, so I stopped using the products for a few days so my skin wouldn't be dry anymore. Then my face started to break out again and so I started to use the product again and the skin on my chin started to dry out and itch again, and it seems to do this with any acne wash. So I just started to use this clean and clear advantage acne spot treatment that isin't suppose to dry skin and it says 100 percent of ppl had results in just one day. Hold on I will write the rest in the details!! kk!!!
so I started to use jergens natural glow skin moisturizer and I just keep applying this clean and clear advantage spot treatment! Do you think my skin will clear up and not dry out!! Thanx!! I know I had alot of info but thanx for reading!!-
ANSWER:
The reason your skin is drying up is because the product strips too much of the natural oil in your skin. Switch to a cream cleanser (the rule of thumb is that if it foams less = less drying)
Neutrogena makes an acne cream cleanser.Or you could continue with what you're using, but after you're done washing your face, apply an oil free moisturiser with spf 15 or higher if its during the day; But other than that you should always put on an oil free moisturiser after you wash your face.
I'm sure your chin wont be dry anymore.Never pick at pimples!! I know its super tempting but remember the more you pick the more likely that you'll end up with an acne scar.
Another way to help your skin:
Try drinking 5 - 8 glasses of water a day to hydrate your skin. Eat plenty of fruits and veges to get the yummy vitamins that will nourish your skin, and plus the fiber will help flush out toxins in your skin that can cause zits. Vitamin C helps heal zits faster too because it boosts your immunity system, so try to eat an orange a day.Good luck!

QUESTION:
Olive oil and acne creams?
My dermatologist gave me a prescription for my acne that has been drying my face up. In the morning i wash my face with nuetrogena acne free stress control power foam face wash and put on differin. At night i would wash my face with the same face wash and use benzaclin. I noticed that my face was drying out around the lips, making it hard or hurt if i moved my lips too much and it would peel if i did. My mom told me to start using arbonne clear advantage acne lotion, and it helped some. But now it has been getting really dry and usually it would go away after 2nd period but its dry throughout the day. I heard though that olive oil really helps with moisturizing. I was wondering though, should i apply it at night or the morning, and should i put it on before or after my acne creams?
For everyone who is saying use acutane, my dermatologist talked about it. You can only give a patient acutane if so many other medicines dont work. Believe me, my brother had to get it and my dermatologist was talking about it with my mom. I dont have that bad of acne. I have been using my creams for months and my face has not gotten used to it.-
ANSWER:
Instead of olive oil, try jojoba oil! It is amaaaazzzing for acne and for moisturizing as well.
You should mix it into your creams at night.

ANSWER:
Acne is caused by bacteria, not just oil. So you need to treat the bacteria to really solve the problem. Cetaphil makes an antibacterial bar that is really gentle and effective. They make another bar with a nearly identical box, though, so be sure to look for the one that says "Antibacterial." Products with sulfur kill bacteria, too. I think Proactiv makes a sulfur mask, but a similar, much cheaper product with sulfur is by a brand called Queen Helene. It's labeled as "Mint Julep Masque." Also... You didn't mention using benzoyl peroxide. The stuff won't work overnight, BUT if you use it regularly for like a month, you will usually start to see improvement. You just need to keep at it.If your skin is really that upsetting, try a dermatologist again. Or your regular doctor could prescribe all the same stuff. And it might even be cheaper than buying lots of products that don't work, especially if you get generics (which are truly exactly the same as name-brand prescription medicines).
Good luck!

How to Get Rid of Oily Skin?
Gahh I hate my oily skin! it gets all shiny and greasy and it catches on to my bangs, which make them all stringy and not as flowy as it should be. Is there any way to get rid or subside my oily skin? I dont have pimply skin or blackheads - just oily skin.every morning i: wash my face with Biore Detoxify Daily Scrub and moisturize with Clean&Clear Advantage Oil Free Acne Moisturizer
every night i: wash my face with Biore Detoxify Daily Scrub, use the Clearasil Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream, and i put baby powder on my face.
am i using the right products? which should i buy? should i go get facials? (i never had one before) please help.
i also dont wear any makeup.-
ANSWER:
Look for oil blotching sheets, you could probably find them at target, a drug store, or any grocery store really. I can't think of the name but one good brand is in a blue box. Any should work better than nothing though. Just blot your face with them and it should absorb all the oil off, if you have as oily skin as you say you may have to do it a few times a day but the packets are so little they fit in your pocket
I hope it helps you!

QUESTION:
Acne struggles? Please help!?
Okay this might be a little long, just to warn you!!
I started using the Tea Tree Oil products from The Body shop when I was 11-12 (I started getting alot of zits). It helped, but I still broke out, so at 13 I decided to try Clean and Clear Advantage Acne System. When I started using this it was okay, but it didn't seem to work as quickly as it had claimed. Also, I swam everyday for a month after the 6th week of using the product, (it was for lifeguarding). Suddenly my skin got really weird...I started getting these big zits that hurt alot and were red and took forever to get to a head and to pop and get rid of. Did the saltwater/chlorine pool botch up the skincare routine? I just put on the mosturizer before i went in, and the mosturizer when i came out (i also started cleansing my skin right after i came out, about a week after it got worse). After the month of swimming the acne slowly started to die down..(really stress on SLOW lol!) So my mom told me to go back to my Tea Tree Oil Products. I have, and now my routine is this: wash my face and hands gently with Ivory Soap, then cleanse my face with the foaming tea tree oil cleanser, then i use the toner (sometimes), and put some hydrocortisone cream on my cheeks (theyre bumpy and react alot/rashes), and i put some of the tea tree oil cream on the key areas where I get my acne, (nose, forehead, chin). then i either put tea tree oil on my spots, or a dot of the Proactiv Refining Mask (my brother uses Proactiv, but the refining mask works for me).
But I just got 2 zits yesterday (one small one on my chin, one big one that hurts like a mother on the side of my nose.) So I'm wondering if I should try the clean and clear again now (since I'm not swimming anymore), or if i should stick to my tea tree oil products and deal with the random breakouts?
P.S I have combo skin. My skin is oily on my nose, but dry everywhere else.
P.S.S I'm only turning 14 in 2 months now.
P.S.S should I try Neutrogena? Should I try Perfect Skin? I honestly don't know what to do!!! I don't wanna mess up my skin now that i'm in school!!
Thanks! xox-
ANSWER:
Try baking soda. I know it might sound odd but it really works. It exfoliates your skin and makes it really soft. Just mix baking soda with some water until it turns into a paste. Then put it on your face and leave it on for a minute. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Try it it really works. Good luck

QUESTION:
Acne treatment on at day/night?
This is how I treat my unresolved ACNE on my face:- Use Neutrogena facial bar when I get up in the morning, at lunch, and before I go to sleep.
- I use Clean and Clear's Advantage Spot Treatment right after I wash my face with the face bar in the morning and at lunch.
- I use Walgreen's Bezoil Peroxoid gel after I use the facial bar on my face before I go to sleep.O I use 2 creams and one facial bar all at different times. My question is, am I doing it right? At lunch and at night when I rinse my face, my face is greasy before I reapply the treatment. It's sorta hard to sleep at night because I prefer to sleep sideways with a part of my face on the pillow but I don't want to get the Benzoil Peroxide gel wiped off.
I've been doing this routine for about a week now.

ANSWER:
AcneAlso called: Pimples, Zits
Acne is a common skin disease that causes pimples. Pimples form when hair follicles under your skin clog up. Most pimples form on the face, neck, back, chest and shoulders. Anyone can get acne, but it is common in teenagers and young adults. It is not serious, but it can cause scars. No one knows exactly what causes acne. Hormone changes, such as those during the teenage years and pregnancy, probably play a role. There are many myths about what causes acne. Chocolate and greasy foods are often blamed, but there is little evidence that foods have much effect on acne in most people. Another common myth is that dirty skin causes acne; however, blackheads and pimples are not caused by dirt. Stress doesn't cause acne, but stress can make it worse.

QUESTION:
I need help naming my new skin care line!!!?
I am starting my own line of skin care products that are just as good as the expensive brands, only cheaper... such as : anti-wrinkle/anti aging creams, vitamin c-serums (that actually work and are cheap!) moisturizers, face and body washes and scrubs, and eventually hair care.I have invest soooo much time and money for the equipment and and supplies and months and months for the product testing... I really want to make this work!
I need help coming up with a catchy name that describes what it's all about. I am at a total loss here.. You only get one chance to come up with something cool.
Here's some info:*** I use the exact same quality and amount of active ingredients as the expensive manufactures. Some of my products even have more (the ones that allowed me to turn it up a notch without causing skin irritation)
***I try to make them as organic as possible (some things like the vitamin c-serums need certain additives to keep them from going bad, most home made vitamin c serums you buy from ebay and etsy don't have these additives and go bad after only 24 hours. This is one of my key advantages over the others
*** My products will be affordable for ANY budget. I'm not so much out to make a huge profit. I'm more concerned about making sure MY costs are covered (you are mainly paying what I pay for the products) This is something I enjoy doing and want people to be able to afford these products and be 100% happy with the results.
*** I'd like to have "diva or divas" as part of the name... but don't know how to describe (in one word) all the other information. Like... what word describes "affordable" "organic" or "natural" and "just as good as the most expensive products on the market"
I wish I could offer free samples to those who reply. I don't know if my question would get deleted if I include my contact information?
Thanks!
excellent suggestions! i'm amazed <3
thank you all so much!-
ANSWER:
"Pro-diva" "Eco-Diva"
"Diva-time" because when they're using it it's like they're treating themselves to a little "diva-time".
"Di-Vero" It has that diva feel, but vero actually means "truth" in Latin. Di just means of. Consequently, you could also do something like "Di-Vilis" (of cheap), "Di-Veris" (of spring)I hope I helped, or at least gave you some possibilities. I love what you're doing and I hope I see it in stores soon. Good luck!

QUESTION:
What's the best daily acne skin care routine for me?
I've been switching from drugstore to drugstore brand for 4 years now, ever since I started having acne [adolescent]. My mom has been complaining that I buy too many skin care products and in a way, I do because I can't find the perfect daily regimen!I have some really weird skin. From my mother's side, I get ridiculously [and I mean ridiculously (my sister had to go to the doctor for prescribed acne medications)] oily, pimply skin. From my dad's side, I get dry (occasionally greasy) skin w/ allergies (I have ezema).
My face right now suffers from acne and even worse acne when it's "that time of the month". My skin is super sensitive and I have red, dry spots.
In this economy, I want to do my mom a favor and keep it to drugstore brand skin care products. Here's what's under my sink [there's A LOT]:
Exfoliants:
`St. Ives Oil Free Apricot Scrub - Invigorating
`Neutrogena Deep Clean Oil Free Gentle ScrubCleansers:
`Clean & Clear Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Cleanser with Oxygen-infused formula
`Biore Revitalize 4-in-1 Self-Foaming CleanserAcne Cleanser (2% Salicylic Acid):
`Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash - Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub
`Clean & Clear Advantage Acne CleanserMoisturizer:
`Biore Nourish Oil-Free Moisture Lotion SPF 15
`Neutrogena Pore Refining Cream Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 (Retinol and Alpha-Hydroxy Acid Formula)
`Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer - Combination SkinOn-the-Go:
`Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Cleansing Pads (0.5% Salicylic Acid)Don't worry! I don't use all of these everyday =D. Right now, I'm picking aand choosing one to use every week and then I usually switch around.
Anyone care to help w/ what I should do for a day and night routine?
Also, I'm also starting to look into make-up (foundation, consealer, loose powder). Any tips on that routine as well?
10 POINTS, I PROMISE!
the few facial make-up products i have lying around but don't use:`Covergirl TruBlend Minerals - Mineral Pressed Powder
`Almay Clear Complexion Oil-Free Concealer (1.0% Salicylic Acid)

`Almay Clear Complexion Oil-Free Concealer-
ANSWER:
Oh my gosh, me too! I have an extreemly oily face, but it also gets extreemly dry after I wash it and peels, I also get acne all over.Actually, I found I new product, though, that doesn't dry out my face after I use it and keeps it remotely normal throughout the day. I've only used it a couple days, though, and I don't know that it's helping my acne much, but besides that it really feels (and smells) quite good.
It's Organique by Himalaya. I've been using their Exfoliating Walnut & Wood Apple Face Scrub, which is incredibly gentle (I also have sensitive skin) but effective. It doesn't dry out my skin at all. I've also used their Neem & Turmeric Face Wash, which kind of dries out my skin but not near as much as popular brands (such as clean & clear or Clearasil). It smells really good (at least to me) and makes my skin look incredibly fresh. I've only used this twice, so I don't know if it'll help my acne, either. But I'm already in love with it.
I really suggest you try that brand. But, as for your current routine it sounds pretty good. Just trade off using each one. Use a cleanser, then exfoliant, then a moisturizer in the morning (to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate the skin). At night use your most gentle cleanser and a moisturizer if necessary (because oils drip from your hair at night, causing more acne, so if you don't need a moisturizer don't use one). Also, be sure you clean your hair really well because that may be part of the reason your face is so oily.
For a make-up routine, since you have an oily but dry face, use a packed powder after putting on your moisturizer (make sure it is all the way dry before putting on any makeup). Then mascara and a lip gloss or balm is sufficient. Physicians Formula is a fantastic drugstore brand for sensitive, acne-prone skin.
Since you do have extreemly oily skin, as do I, I highly recommend getting Oil Blotting Sheets (Clean & Clear and Neutrogena are the most popular brands that have them). I use the Neutrogena ones and just carry them in my backpack then use them after a gym class and during Lunch (so, mid-day). They will remove oil and shine from your face, without removing your makeup.
Good Luck!

QUESTION:
What are some good acne and oil treating products?
I've tried Proactiv, Neutrogena, Cetaphil, and numerous topicals and creams. NOTHING. WORKS. Plain soap and water work until 3 minutes later theres a shine to my peak (area near nose, nose, chin, upper lip, cheeks, and forehead). My face is SO oily that I'm considering seeing a dermatologist. After washing, in 10 minutes my face will drip with oil its so bad. Imagine the severity, it looks like glaze for pottery on my face! I've been told it's the late teen hormones, but I don't know if it's more than that. Please. Help. Me.
p.s. anyone try clean & clear's advantage 3-step towards clearer skin kit? what were the results?-
ANSWER:
This is what I do. Each night, clean your face with Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Wash or Clean & Clear Oil-Free Accne Face Lotion. Wear Almay's Clear Comlexion Poweder Makeup (apply it in the morning). It has salycilic acid in it (acne medication), so apply it thourgh the day. you will cover your pimles, while healing them. Work sfor me! =D Good luck!

QUESTION:
-
ANSWER:
You may want to try a type of acne cleansing pads. I keep them in my pocket book, so when I'm out and my face get's oily, I just wipe it down with the cleansing pad, and it removes the oils. Also, you may want to buy blotting paper (this may not be the actual name for it). They have it at bath and body works. Its a small roll of paper, and you rip a piece and just dab the oily parts of your face with it. It's made to capture the oils.
Another thing you can try, use a powder foundation. I don't know if you use foundation already, but if you use a mineral foundation of loose powder, it can really help with oil issues. Rather than using a liquid, the powder will absorb some of the oils. Wet and Wild has a great powder foundation, but if you can't find their mineral stuff, try another brand. I use Physician's Formula's mineral foundations. If you prefer not to use foundation, Physician's Formula has a translucent power that will work in the same way.
I hope one of these suggestions helps!
